Gorilla School

Post  Doogs on Fri May 14, 2010 5:10 pm

You may have already read this elsewhere but I'm gonna post it anyway !! If there's one programme to watch and series link on Sky it this !!!!

It started last week and I spent much of the 2nd half Sad Thankfully it was not sad tears it was tears of joy. Watch this link :-

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZ-bJFVJ2P0

It's following Damein Aspinall releasing 3 x gorillas (and they are only little tooters ) back into the wild (Gabon) and obviously what happens. Last week was the first (on on a Tuesday) but it is repeated on Animal Planet on a Sunday at 7 & 7.30pm (two half hour programmes). Of course it will also be on AP +1 at 7.30 & 8pm. There are probably more repeats throughout the week.

If you watch the repeat on Sunday you'll only have missed 2 x ½ hour programmes and they do re-cap on the week before Smile

You're welcome WS.

I just adore these animals and appalled that people could even think about killing them let alone actually doing it.

This is a fantastic project and I really hope they are successful in putting gorillas where they belong, in the wild Cool

HI Doogs, I finally caught up with this programme yesterday, what an amazing job they are doing.
I am so hoping they find the group that has hopefully gone into hiding after the episode with the poachers, I am praying it's not bad news.
Its a wonderful programme but also very poingnant at the same time. Looking forward to next weeks episode.

Glad you liked it LW, along with the 'Big Cats' I love the gorillas. I know the poachers get a lot of money from killing them but I just don't understand how they could, such a waste of a beautiful animal Sad

Doogs it's a great series I'm watching it and the last one was The Turning Point the one after they caught the poacher they could have been in serious trouble there with the poaching gang having automatic weapons.
