That Mr Yellow is soooo Censored lazy! Laughing

I'm imagining some comedy skit on Mr Yellow, the world's biggest dole bludger!

Yesterday's multiple mountain Giro stage was cancelled in its entirety due to constant snow and thus being unable to clear the roads, dangerous slippery descents, etc. The weather has put a bit of a dampener on the entire race, but not a lot the organisers can do but grin and bare it. Tonight was going to be the queen stage (in cycling jargon the 'Queen Stage' is the biggest of the three week event), but first three climbs have been removed from the parcours, with hopes still held that they can finish on the originally planned mountain as scheduled. If it's cancelled than Cadel Evans secures his podium position whilst laying in a warm toasty bed Razz

They managed to complete stage 20 and I just managed to keep my eyes open Laughing Can't handle late nights these days. It was like 10kms to go, then next time I opened them it was 5kms left! But I saw the ending and then went immediately to Sleeping

Cadel Evans lost his second place to Columbia's Rigoberto Uran (a probably not well known fact is how popular road cycling is in Columbia), but held onto a podium place. Scenery was epic as there was snow everywhere; it really was a winter wonderland and was snowing as the riders made their way up the climb. Good effort by the organisers to clear the snow from those roads

Tonight is the final stage, though it's pancake flat so will have zero effect on the overall result. Next up the Tour De France!

Today is great for the riders, which makes it a Sleeping fest for the rest of us Laughing

I missed out on getting my grandmothers genes, as she will regularly sit up late and watch various sport. Hardly sleeps I reckon!

Nothing happened...I did not even check the full results but nothing would have happened Laughing

So the final podium was:
1. Nibali (Italy)
2. Uran (Columbia)
3. Evans (Australia)

DNF. Wiggins (Great Britain) Laughing

A photo of Nibali in the pink jersey with the wonderful whiteness behind him:

"Us Brits are not best pleased with that comment!!!"

Exactly why it was posted tongue

Cadel Evans' 3rd place was an outstanding result. Very few thought he could make the podium. He is 36 years old; I think the oldest rider since 1928 or something to finish top three in the Giro.

The TDF always starts beginning of July, or last day or two of June, on a Saturday. So maybe the 29th of June this year. http://i70.servimg.c not long to go!

If Nadal doesn't win his eighth French Open tomorrow night then it will be a much deserved first grand slam for Ferrer.

http://i73.servimg.c Naddal won it easy, did'nt have to break sweat. Although to be fair Ferrer did play some great shots. Nadals the first player to win 8 French Open Titles.
