Shame about Murray, Maybe next year will be his time.

So envious of you both Anne-Marie and SM, my bro-in-law is off to Silverstone for the three days, he goes every year with his brother. I am sure you will both have a brilliant time, i'm keeping my fingers crossed its a win for Lewis or Jensen

There was actualy only about 7 or 8 points between them, but Rafa played the big points better, and I have to say what a Gentleman, although he was all out to win because thats in his nature, his attitude to Murray at the end was brillint you could tell he felt genuinely sorry for Murray, and I applaude that he's a fantastic player

Am, when I asked TT what does the tickets get us. He said 'in'. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Cant complain they cost us nothing. Bringing the camera and going to try and do some speed photography, if I can. Really looking forward to the day.

Hehe! Nice and helpful then Very Happy!! You'll have to show us your photo's! I'm taking my camera also but I tend to miss the cars a lot and end up with photo's of grass or tarmac!! Embarassed

I'm hoping for a Jenson win although will still be delighted if its a Lewis win! A 1-2 would be fantastic!!

Really enjoyed the Wimbledon final! Rafa is such a gentleman! Played a great match and still apologised to Berdych in his speech! Fantastic!

Well done for getting some wins Lai always good to hear nice news......hope it's a good day for you tomorrow Doogs, keeping my fingers crossed for you cheers

Mmmmm wonder what will happen with the Grand Prix, apparantly they are trialing a new exhaust system on both McClaren cars and so far they are nowhere with the times, so it looks as if it may be a duff day for Lewis and Jensen, what a stupid day to trial a new system, especially as Lewis is at the top of the drivers championship so far and also for all the people that have gone to Silverstone for the British Grand Prix to see them, it's so annoying, my Bro-in-Law has been bleating about it to my sister on the phone, he is not amused What a Face It's suppoed to be better for the cars so lets hope that is the case but so far it doesnt look good, suppose we will just have to wait and see but it may not be a One, Two tomorrow, I reckon it will be either Webber or vetal that win.

Oh SM, i've only just seen your message about not being able to go!! That is such a shame! Although I would not recommend sitting in heat like that! Urgh, I've never in my life spent so much time looking for shade.

LW, yep they were trialling their new blown diffuser. Unfortunately because there is no in season testing the only time they can test it is at Friday practice. I think the simulator had shown it would give them so improvement, but after Friday they worked late taking it off the car, then flying their test driver back to Woking to test on the simulator all night with the new settings with the diffuser off!

Red Bull have completely shot themselves in the foot with this whole favouritism malarkey! I was so pleased to see Webber win in the end after all that! Hamilton and Button did well to grab that 2nd and 4th, especially after a disastrous quali for Button!

Oooo it was a fantastic weekend, bar the heat - could have done with being a few degrees cooler, but at least no sunburn or heatstroke!! cheers

Glad you had a wonderful time Anne-Marie, it sounded quite dire for Lewis and Jensen on Friday but as you say they did good, especially Jensen, he did so well to get to 4th.....You wanted Webber to win I wanted Lewis Very Happy

My cousin was marshalling at Silverstone, he knows all the drivers and gets to meet them regularly, lucky guy, the drivers held a dinner for them all and it was a good evening apparantly.

I watched the race at my sisters, so it was cooler than where you were but nothing like the real thing......at least it was dry , you know how the good old British Summer can be, it could have been tipping down What a Face

Did you manage to get any pics to show us?

Sounds as though you had a great day out AM. I think our two did brilliant considering the problems they had in qualifying, and where Jenson started, and if one of oure did'nt win I was sticking up for Webber. I though it was completely wrong for his team to take his front wing off to give to Vetal.

Exactly WS. I think that was the feeling of pretty much everyone I spoke to.

Red Bull gives you Wings - If you are Sebastian Vettel. They take them away if you are Mark Webber.
