Honey and Toto Empty Honey and Toto

Post  RMorr50912 Fri Feb 17, 2012 5:35 pm

Hello everyone, it is five years ago today, Feb 17 2007, that we got the terrible news of Honey's death. I thought it would be nice to have a little reminder on the forum, so hopefully this is ok. The first link is to a photo tribute that was done around the time of her death, and the next is a video tribute to Honey and Toto I found touching.

Thanks Ronnie.

The clip really brought tears to my eyes, remembering little Toto and a tragic accident that killed Honey.

A photos are a lovely tribute as well.

A great find Ronnie.

Honey and Toto Empty A fitting tribute to a beautiful cheetah

Thanks for this tribute; it brings me to tears. I was a big fan of Honey & was very sad when she lost adorable little Toto & devastated that she'd been accidentally killed by a misplaced trank dart. I just read another post saying one of her 3 boys had been killed. RIP Honey,Toto, & son.

Hi Profwood
Welcome to WAA
I take it from your posts, and Avatar which is a lovely one you are a Cheetah lover. Sadly we lost one of the brothers earlier this year, bu as far as I know the other two are still doing OK.

Hi Profwood

A warm welcome to WAA, its nice to have you here with us.

Many of us are overs of Honey and Toto and were devastated when Honey lost little Toto, he was such a cutie and his passing was incredibly sad and then to loose Honey was heartbreaking but they both live on in many peoples hearts and they will be remembered as such huge stars in Big Cat Diary. As WS says, it was another blow to loose one of Honeys sons, they were a brave formidable threesome but the remaining two seem to be doing well so far and long may it continue.

Hi again Proofwood Honey and Toto Waving12

Bit of a sad tale all these Cheetah's to be honest. It really was a travesty about poor Honey and the way she lost her life, just lucky her boys were old enough to survive. The truly heartbreaking adventures of little Toto just touched everyone who watched BCD's hearts and if ever there was a little guy you wanted to make it it was him Sad Honey's Boys did so well for so long and it was terrible news last year when we found out one of the boys had been killed presumably by lion(s). They must have let their guard down or been surprised as they would have been well aware of the dangers a lion(s) poses. I have been lucky enough to see them on numerous occasions in the Mara and will always have fond memories of these 3 special boys who had a wonderful mum I love you Like a Star @ heaven I love you The two who are left are still doing well which is great news Very Happy
