So sorry Lai, a sad time Sad , but you, and Pete can take comfort in knowing that all though it was sad for her to go, both of you, and Penny knew the time was right. You put her care, and happyness in front of your own, and that was a brave decision, that all good pet owners have to make. Well done to you both for caring about Penny so much. Glad you got those last few sunny days together to enjoy your last moments, the sun even shone yesterday.

Thanks Doogs. We know we were right so I guess that makes it easier but her presence is much missed by us all, even Tamu is very subdued today which is most unusual.

I am having a blond moment between my laptop and tablet so can't get the photos I want to upload for Rainbow bridge scratch will get back and try again!

Lai i'm glad you got your laptop and tablet sorted so you were able to post that adorable picture of Penny in Rainbow Bridge, it is truely lovely I love you and I am pleased you have been able to sort some of your pictures of the Galapagos to help you deal with things today, sometimes a little distraction helps for a while. As you know my thoughts and prayers have been with you all.

Our BBQ was lovely thank you and it was a wonderful sunny day here too on Monday, very different from today and we are predicted gales for tomorrow.....not so nice at all.

So you have a Pheasant as well WS, how lovely is that, lets hope he stays around and he gets to be named Very Happy maybe see a few pics as well if your able to get some.

I haven't watched the Life of Pi yet Lai, I had already decided I wanted time to watch it without any disturbances, I nearly watched it the other evening but I watched Happy Feet 2, I had seen HF1 but never 2, what a great film it is, I would highly recommend it. Can't wait to hear what Doogs says about the Chimpanzee film. When I have seen the Life of Pi I will let you know.

Hope everyone is keeping well and that you all enjoyed the BH.......do we have another one this month? I thought there was 2 in May or is that wishful thinking scratch

Lai, you are doing a tremendous job indeedy on all the uploading. Fantastic to be bringing so many Very Happy 's to us, even during your Sad times.

It has been sunny here too, or at least today was. It got close to 25 degrees I think. Generally speaking summer is well and truly over but, and around 18-20 seems to be typical. The kind of weather where you need a jacket on outside, but just a shirt on in the car (always much hotter in the car I find).

Tomorrow work is shouting me to the football, so it is free http://www.picgifs.c and http://www.picgifs.c , plus my team Essendon - who are 7-0 this season! - happen to be playing, also against a 7-0 team in Geelong. What are the odds on that?!

We are entertaining some estimators of our biggest builder/customer, and this year (I was shown the guest list today by my offsider) one of them happens to be a female Cool So I am hoping for a bit of 'talent' as Doogsy would say Laughing

"What was wrong with that? I thought you said to entertain them?" Razz

I am leaving work early and driving to my parents place and they will then drive me in (yeah I know, I'm rather spoilt). They are going to the game too. After the footy a best mate is having a belated birthday party. I wasn't going to bother as it is a little out of the way and most likely I will be VERY drunken Laughing but what they hell, I will try to make it there and liven things up a little if they have gone a little quiet by that stage of the evening.

That's extra Laughing as really I don't like parties much at all, and will probably want to hide in a corner. Then again, http://www.picgifs.c and the opposite sex could help to bring me out of my shell Very Happy

Then it's a matter of finding my way back to my parents (I am taking my dogs there after work, by the way) house in the wee hours of the morning.

confused

"I bet you only hooked up with me for the Censored !"
"No pettle. I swear you couldn't be more wrong. It was for the lift home. I promise!"

My mind is even crazier and creative than the norm in recent times http://www.picgifs.c And in which case I need to devote some time to story writing. Sunday maybe.

Looking forward to more of your Galapogas stories and pics Lai, and hope that everyone has a lovely weekend.

Thanks Littlewid, and glad your bbq was fun and the weather okay, it's now raining here and very windy, garden furniture flying all over the place What a Face

You're right we do have another b/h - can't tell you when exactly but at the end of May scratch cheers

Your winter is sounding very pleasant compared to ours in the UK GR. I would be happy with just a jacket on outside, not my usual Ugg boots and lots of coats and a scarf!

The footie sounds like fun and a good opoprtunity for http://www.picgifs.c http://i77.servimg.c http://www.picgifs.c and Hug I love you http://i70.servimg.c http://www.picgifs.c how brilliant your parents can give you a lift and look after Bella and Leo. I am sure the party will be fun and good luck finding your way home Laughing

More pics to follow and I really want to start on my slide show which I find much easier!

I forgot to mention with all that has been going on with Penny that I am taking my mum to Malta this Saturday until Thursday, we've never been before and she thought it would be a good place to visit.

Have a good evening everyone.

WOW Lai, another holiday http://i70.servimg.c All the best for you in Malta, though of course selfishly I am not happy as I will miss you Very Happy

I had a good time at the footy last night, and got a little drunken Laughing No opportunity for Hugs and Censored as the woman that attended was married. But I was laughing before thinking that this is the second lass recently who has told me - from kinda out of nowhere - that she is attached. Perhaps it's obvious that I'm about to pounch on them leopard style Laughing

"Oh, by the way, I'm married."

"But I gave you no segway to even mention that."

Our table was initially not at the window (even though my sales rep was the first person there when they opened), but later they moved us to one when others cleared out to watch the game from their stadium seats. All six of us just stayed in the restaurant for the duration and it was a great relaxing and fun time. I had salmon for the entree, then part of an ox for the main, and finally an apple tart http://www.picgifs.c Plus plenty of http://www.picgifs.c Mostly bacardi and coke

There was some interesting conversation about people's overseas trips, plus work stories and so forth. And the football itself was a good game even though Essendon lost. They played pretty well and the contest was played at a high standard.

I was going to go to my mates birthday party after, but trying to get a taxi was a nightmare (one driver even suggested that I walk to Port Melbourne affraid I don't really know the city well even though I have lived here all my life), and then I thought of my pooches and was missing them, and knowing that when I'm drunk after a high I can become depressed, so it was best to call it a night, and it was a great decision. A walk back to the station and then trained it to Boronia, then a fifteen minute walk/jog back to folkies. I was really looking forward to seeing Bella and Leo, like an extra amount, and really relished our snuggles once greeted by them Group Hug

Sounds like a great evening GR. What is a pounch? I am fascinated Probably a very S http://i77.servimg.c decision you made about going home and enjoying Bellawoo and Leo aka Ralph and of course better for your head than Head Banger drunken Glad the conversation flowed as well as the http://www.picgifs.c Laughing

Malta is a quick break for my mum, but as it is tipping with rain here today we are hoping it will be sunny and time to relax and enjoy the sites. We're back late Thursday so will catch up on Friday.

Keep up the king rabbit albino whilst I'm away G Giraffe http://i77.servimg.c R - you know you want to catch me up in the http://i77.servimg.c stakes !!

Always good to egg Greg on in the albino stakes Mrs Kipia Razz tongue

My spelling just gets worse and worse! Pounch confused It was meant to be pounce, though this new word could be a combination of punch (drunk) and pounce (the woman's reaction to my pounce Laughing )

It's great writing without thinking as it creates even more humour http://i70.servimg.c

Maybe even some Censored action to lead to the need for a pouch Very Happy And that's exactly the sort of thingy that would happen without much thinking Laughing

Good Afternoon Everyone Very Happy

Sounds like you had a really fun time the other night GR, and your Pounch really made me I knew what you meant but it was funny I think we are all the same, we get carried away with what we are typing that new words just seem to appear on the screen, sometimes I think I dont have dyslexia but you would think so if I let that go, so often I am just editing my posts to make sense and then try not typing so fast, but i'm kinda get it written before I forget it lol!

Ahhhhh so your gonna try and over take our chief albino whilst she is away, sneaky my friend, but you know when she returns she will have steam coming out of her pc to remain queen albino ......good luck with trying though Very Happy

The African Hut is this massive wooden hut with a thatched roof, it has a large round table and benches round the edge. You can have it open or use the shutters that come with it. My sister has her shutters up all year round so we can use it in the winter or open them back in the summer. They have fixed a hut heater in the roof and it is decorated with lights in side to give it a real cosy feel.
Heres a picture of a similar hut without the shutters, its not my sisters as silly me doesn't have one and hers has some trellis like sides as well so it is slightly different/better ( I think so anyway but its different tastes), I will try and remember to take one next time I am there.

Well we had some sunshine this morning but now its getting very windy again and we are forecast very heavy rain for this evening, which isn't good, we had massive gales the other night. Anyway Nero has been walked so we are tucked up for the evening.

Have a good rest of the weekend everyone Very Happy

"but you know when she returns she will have steam coming out of her pc" - very true statement LW

Those African Huts look nice. They go really well in parks I reckon, and if you have a big enough yard then for sure it would add a nice homely feel to the surrounds too.

Nice to hear that you and Nero have escaped the cold for some nice Sleeping

Today was Mothers Day, so it was a nice afternoon spent at the folkies (I have been there three times in the last five days affraid Laughing ). With bro there it was the four of us (or six actually, let's not forget my kids Very Happy ), and we were mostly indoors, but did manage to get a couple of games of hookey in (it's kinda like darts but for amateurs Razz ). Mum has already begun on her giraffe jigsaw puzzle Very Happy

Have a nice working week everyone Group Hug

When your mum finishes her Giraffe puzzle G http://i77.servimg.c R you will have to post a pic for us all to see it Very Happy Never heard of Hooky before so it must be an Aussie game, how do you play it?......yes I know obviously with darts before you jump in before WS lol!

It was a nice sunny day here this morning but now we have wind and rain again.....Good Old British weather......not What a Face

Never thought of us leading the way WS makes a change

It's been nice and sunny here today and it is now but the wind is really getting up to quite a force again and its supposed to be very wet and windy tomorrow, whats going on with this weather of ours scratch

Nero and I have just had a lovely walk, albeit a blowy one but its nice to be out and about. Everyone is getting their gardens all pretty and I love wandering around and peeping at all the gardens and the flowers. one of the roads we walk in a house has a wonderful Magnolia tree, I think I posted some pics of it's flowers before and it is really blooming at the moment, lilac and white, it's so pretty flower .......yep I know thats blue Very Happy

Have a lovely evening everyone

Ahhhhhh, I seem to have done it again. I promise I haven't left you but I've been so busy in work that by the time I get home tonight I just want to eat and sleep.

Not much has happened here recently. I'm still swimming twice a week and now I go to aqua fit on a wednesday which is great fun. It does tend to be a lot of resistance work so my arms and legs are killing me. but all in a good cause.

I took a day off work today as I had a dentist appointment, it was a good job I did as I had to be sent up to the hospital for an xray on my teeth. I'm having major problems with my wisdom teeth and as the hospital has a better xray machine than the dentist then it was best to got there. They gave me my xray on a cd to pop back to the dentist and I even managed to install and have a look at my xray on my laptop. What is good is that it comes with a password and unless you have the correct nhs system you can't store any information as soon as you exit from the picture the files are automatically deleted from your computer.

Lucky you had your check up, your wisdom teeth could have caused you a real problem later

Good to hear from you PPH and also to know you are ok Very Happy work and life can get like that can't it, its the same for all of us so don't worry. Great that the swimming is going ok and now you have added Aqua Fit as well, you will be as fit as a flea soon and putting us all to shame Embarassed

Sorry to hear about your wisdom teeth, they can be a real pain, literally can't they, hope you get it sorted soon. Good that you got to see the xray yourself, always nice to see whats going on. Are they planning on removing them for you?

Hope the rest of the week doesn't leave you feeling too tired.

I have a feeling from my dentist that they are reluctant to remove wisdom teeth that haven't erupted, like mine, as its a big operation and can cause some bone damage. I have to see what they say when theyve checked out the xray and have a chat with them on the best way to proceed.

That may be until my next dentist appointment in november if its not urgent, but if my dentist thinks its urgent then she'll contact me and make a referral to the hospital as it will be an operation under a general. On a good note the dentist said that the local hospital really likes to do these operations quickly, within 6 months of referral, so if I do have to have an operation it won't be a long wait

http://i73.servimg.c Head Banger No

Tonight I was an idiot. No, I didn't drink and drive, but I did text (actually I was facebooking Embarassed ), and bang! Boom, crash, opera! No major damage done, nor fortunately injury, but still bloody stupid. Should never use my phone whilst driving, even if that is only at about 20 k/ph.

So yes, I am one of 'those' people No

I take it as a positive though. A lesson learnt...hopefully. And give myself the most relaxing night possible, which means chilling out on the WAA Very Happy And just slow down a little, in life in general, and get stuff sorted. Like my messy house, bills, do my tax, organise for house rental inspection, and get my car fixed Laughing Well it's still driveable, and the other guy? He is fine. Less damage.

Life has been pretty good lately though. Thanks to all those who have said lovely things about me recently; they mean a lot. I am a rather blessed boy (though still an idiot Razz ) indeedy. Still seeing the world through coloured streamers. One of the rare humans who is playing the bongos Very Happy

LW, I will try to remember to take a photo of the giraffe jigsaw once my parents have completed it, as they surely will (they are kinda jigsaw fanatics!).

A big kudos to you LW for taking Nero walking rain, hail or sunny Very Happy

Good to hear from you PPH, and that you are keeping up with your swimming. Bad teeth is no good though affraid One of the most painful parts of the body to have sore I reckon. Hope that you are not too run down by it all and that you do not have earaches either.

On a kinda lighter note, over the past few days my giraffey suit has been sort of decimated. I'm down to two buttons, so any onesie suit collage that I decided to do now would risk being a little x-rated Laughing I gather that it's been Leaping Leo having some fun Very Happy Many times lately I've come home to find the giraffe suit and leopard rug (though that seems indestructable!) laying on the living room floor. It really made me laugh to seem them together though. And I have no idea where the missing buttons are! Oh Leo Razz

Tonight the terrific trio got dramatically drenched on our walk (which became a run Laughing ), but I was laughing so much when it happened; it was a moment that is difficult to explain, yet I was happy Very Happy

Today I have scheduled to have my renting place inspected, for next Tuesday affraid And even more affraid now as tonight it seems that my washing maching is leaking! Oh well, rarely a dull moment Laughing

Tonight I have spent heaps of times just snuggling with my woos of wonder on the couch, and helping to dry them (it was easy for me as I could simply have a warm shower), but Embarassed to say that Leo has now spent some significant time outside, and then after coming back in he still refused to give me space, and I got rather annoyed. So he is back out again now. I don't understand why he doesn't learn. I could go to the kitchen chair, but should I? Hmmm...it's an issue over winter I think. I could of course just spend zero time on this forum and all of it with them Razz But you know that I can't live like that. I need quality human interaction too.

Which is exactly what I'm getting at present. There has been a change of plans for me this weekend. I had just scheduled to have my haircut early Saturday (so no Sleeping in anyhoo) when I had an offer made to me that I couldn't refuse. Suffice to say that it was arguably the most smirk-inducing phone conversation that I've ever participated in, and the haircut has been quickly postponed Laughing So if I lose my job perhaps it will be after spending this Saturday with my new partner in crime Cool Well no we are not partners, but hopefully we will have a lot of laughs and smiles, continuing on like we have been. Maybe in the meantime we will even get some work done Laughing

I suppose that I will need to get some more PJ's soon; I am down to a single button! So maybe I will check out a fancy dress shop and get another onesie suit, pehaps even more than one. "Is it for a special party you're going to?" "Yes...a party..." Razz

It's been a great suit so actually I wouldn't mind getting some more http://www.picgifs.c

I think the most important lesson out of that lot GR. Is dont text, and drive No No No or use a hand held phone No No No 20kph might not be fast, but humans, and animals dont stand up to bumps like other vehicles do.
Sorry it's one of my pet hates, if you'll excuse the pun.
scratch Why bother going to a fancy dress shop if your only going for a go as you are
