I saw the headline of this on the news last night but missed the story, some of you may have seen it but for those that haven't heres the story.
What amazes me, is if they think it may have come from the circus, it doesn't sound as if they have tried contacting the circus to see if they have a missing Lion, very odd I think.

I'm sure I heard on the news earlier that both the Circus and the Zoo confirmed they had no Lion in Essex 112330 missing LW.

Very bizarre story and I wonder if someone saw something like a Golden Retriever dog (or similar) instead and then people were exagerating things by saying they had heard lions roaring scratch I think it's highly unlikely it is going to be a lion.

I saw this too - most strange. Fingers crossed whatever it is doesn't get shot and then they find it is some poor innocent dog.

Saw this in the Paper today. Just been on the news, the search has been called off, the pic taken was blurry, and the experts where not convinced. They've put it down to a large domestic Cat, or Wildcat, bit different to a Lion

Saw Simon K on BBC breakfast news this morning - he gave his opinion, not likely! Those that were sold as pets in the 60's and 70's unless they found a mate are not going to be alive now.

I heard on the radio this morning that the search had been called off.

I must say that the photo they printed at the top of the article reminds me of an Angora sheep Sheep
