That really is good news and money well spent I think. Lots of other avenues have been tried to stop poaching and catching poachers but so far it is not having a real impact on this dire situation, so maybe going a bit more sophisticated and technical it could help to stop a lot of poaching and help to catch the poachers.

I hope it is such a secure software though and not open to being poached itself into the wrong hands.

What a great idea. I saw a bit on the news about drones, and how there were concerns about people using them, and privacy. This is something they really should be used for, and could have a really big effect if the programe was expanded, they could folloe=w any poachers right to where they take the animals thye have killed, and record who they are handed over to, also providibg crucial ID so that the culprits could be dealt with. Well done Google for a change
