Injured Dolphin dies Empty Injured Dolphin dies

This is a really sad story. I understand they were worried about pollutants but surely if this was a person they would have made an effort. The Dolphin was injured and struggling, so how was it supposed to wait for a rise in the tide to hopefully free itself. They said they were waiting for th Dolphin to work out it's escape but that was never going to happen. It was injured, struggling and never going to get out. I personally think they should have intervened by either rescuing it, there are protective suits afterall, or they should have put it out of it's missery.

I agree LW. It was clear the Dolphin had no chance of getting out of there, especialy being covered in all that toxic sludge. They perhaps could have tried to herd it out with a boat, but other than that I think the kindest thing would have been to put it out of its suffering

This broke my heart. I did not even read the whole article. I just looked at the pictures and read few lines. Knowing that authorities refused to help this poor animal is very disappointing. They could have done something to save the dolphin rather than wait for the dolphin to escape on its own! This is really so sad!
