Good attempt PPH, its really difficult taking photos through glass, but great to see its still around, it must certainly feel safe in that area.
Shame you, and Doogs could'nt meet up Lai Crying or Very sad

A big catch up is required. So maybe it is good in a way that this place has gone quiet. Where did everybody go?! Razz

So okay, our lovely Lai is on holidays I see. More pics and slide shows (plenty of pressure http://www.picgifs.c ) on the way then http://i70.servimg.c

I do remember now that you said a while back that you were off around this time, and that was the reason for the wait to take on Kip. So hopefully soon  we will have photos of your trip and photos of your other new greyhound!

I was a little bit tired earlier last week, but am feeling much better now. That's about to change again though as I will probably start sitting up late to watch the Tour! I failed to make it to the end of the first two stages Sleeping  (I am 32 going on 92  ) but perhaps tonight will be the night where I survive until the end!

Rosie seems to be a very independent young lady, not caring about whether Tamu likes her

That is pretty Cool and sweet of course to name your Tamu after the BCD star!

Shame about your Bingo bad luck Doogsy. What's a girl to do? No You are right; trivia night and quiz night are the same...I think! We all sit at tables in teams and try to get the answers together.

Angelina certainly kicks ass in that film! There is some good background to it as well on the DVD, and she does a lot of her own stunts. I think she is a pretty cool cat; has done a lot for the needy in the world and seems to have kept a relatively level head on her shoulders. Which must actually be awfully difficult when receiving that much adulation!

The film Salt is directed by Australian Phillip Noir, who apparently worked with Jolie way back in The Bone Collector. A lot of his films are spy based ones as his dad was a spy. The DVD has a lengthy interview with him which is a great listen.

WS and Lai, you may both be very right about my mothers intuition

Very good attempts with the deer photos PPH. And like WS said, not easy to do so through glass.

With me last Thursday night was chill out time at my parents watching some football, as well as reading a newspaper article Very Happy

On Friday night I hit the casino with a friend. I played roulette (that's all I ever play when I go) and broke even (so The Script are wrong Razz ) which wasn't too bad. I just go for numbers. The best rolls were when I got the 4 with a $10 bet, the same of which happened with the 33 if memory serves me correctly.

Saturday I caught up with my brother briefly to help him shop for a laptop. I am not sure why he asked me to come along as really I know nothing about them. But oh well, it gave the excuse for a bit of a chat, plus I got a couple more DVD's, one of which was Jack Reacher. I have already seen this in the cinema, but it's another terrific action flick. Has some great humour too. I watched this on Saturday night.

On Sunday it was time for me to make my debut...in my onesie! I wore it on a half an hour walk with the pooches and didn't get bashed up! Laughing And later that day I went to Werribee Zoo...as a flying squirrel! http://i70.servimg.c

I hope you've had a good time in Shetland Lai, looking forward to hearing all about it when you get back on.  Really hoping you've managed to get some good otters pictures  . . .  I did see Simon tweeting last week about them so got a sneaky feeling you might, fingers crossed.  Shame you're connection flight back home was short, we'll just have to have that Dawa Doogs some other time Wink

Love your pictures PPH, she is a pretty little thing I love you

Have you managed to see a lot of the TDF GR ?  I do like a bit of roulette so well done on quitting before things went into free fall.  If I ever play I'm always the same, pick your lucky number(s) and hope or the best !  If you don't get a return it's very easy and quick that your money disappears affraid pale
"And later that day I went to Werribee Zoo...as a flying squirrel!" - lol! superb GR cheers Cool Very Happy

I had a busy weekend working last week (did 11½ hours overtime bet Sat/Sun) so this weekend I'm off to have some fun and forget all about work.  Heading down to Glasgow first thing tomorrow morning, my friend will pick me up there then the two of us are driving down to another friends in Chester.  The three stoogies will be hitting Haydock Races tomorrow night, doing a hospitality package that's a 'Sex in the City' theme (does that mean plenty of Cosmopolitans ? drunken ) so I'm sure we'll have a good night.  As a bonus my favourite jockey I love you I love you  is riding there tomorrow night so very much looking forward to stalking I mean seeing him   I get back into Aberdeen late on Saturday night.

Hope everyone has a good weekend, have fun

Post  gregrowlerson on Fri Jul 05, 2013 12:51 pm

I have been a little slack with the TDF, though it is not the main stages yet. I have only managed to sit up and see all of one stage (they finish about 1am Melbourne time Sleeping ) which was stage 3. Tonight I am not very keen either, but tomorrow night is the first high mountain stage and will be really exciting cheers

Tomorrow is a big day overall, as my grandparents are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary cheers cheers I will give a You the man to them both for that one Very Happy It's quite an achievement, and they even got a mention in the Melbourne Herald-Sun newspaper the other day, and deservedly so.

So that will be a big lunch for us all there.

I only realised the other day too that it is my brothers big milestone birthday less than three months away, his 30th. So I have to think of something great to get him, but not really sure what (not sure he'd be too fond of a onesie Laughing ). I asked my parents if they have ideas for what we are going to do on that day, and I think they are going to ask him what he wants to do; we think it will be a lunch or dinner with family and then he will kick on afterwards with his friends.

I agree with you on the roulette stuff Doogs! Very hit and miss, and I do actually find it rather addictive, but rarely go to the casino anyhoo. I'm not sure I quit before things went into freefall Laughing Well I was down, and up and down and up and down...something like that Razz I got a number to put me slightly up, then just bet those final few chips that left me even. I think that an important thing with me playing it is that I don't take it too seriously...my mate and I even compliment the roulette 'dealer' when he cleans us all out!

But I am not really much of a gambler. Never been into the races and don't think I placed a bet on sport for over five years. I'm a bit of a monk in some ways. Give me a onesie, a laptop, and a couple of pooches and I'm a pretty happy boy Very Happy

I mentioned the flying squirrel zoo trip to my mum last night. Well, I started talking about it all, and then I said that I did something really crazy, and you'll never believe what I wore....

I did not even say it! I didn't have to, but she knew what I was talking about as she has seen this costume just a fortnight or so again, and she was soooo Embarassed at the thought of me doing that. "There are some things that you shouldn't wear in public!" Razz I do agree with her in a way...I mean I can see it from her perspective! I think the main 'problem' is that I have nobody to wear one with. Because occasionally you do see adults wear them, but it's virtually always a couple (I remember the music gigs of Soundwave early last year seeing partners wearing them proudly and I really did get a big Very Happy out of it), so I guess that they can stand up for each other and not feel at all sheepish. But that's also a part of how I felt proud to wear it, and it did give lots of people joy to see it.

I do like the idea of a world where many people wear onesie's with grand pride http://www.picgifs.c

I want to go to the evening session at the zoo again, but have nobody to go with. A friend was interested (and he would bring his fiancee), but he is busy during the next week and it ends next Saturday. I asked my parents - or just my mum - but she wasn't that keen, and also it's quite expensive, I think $50 or something. I offered to shout them, but probably rightfully she told me to save my money. The thing is, is that I get in for free, so maybe I will go again, as that fire show is just awesome.

But I don't think I will wear the onesie again! It would be kinda funny if someone said, "Weren't you that guy in the onesie?" Laughing

Hmmm...Just then I had an idea. I could offer to take my aunty and cousin there...I see them tomorrow; if I remember perhaps I will raise this possibility...

Tonight I had hoped to watch the classic film Good Will Hunting. I ordered it on DVD and it came in the mail yesterday, but as has happened with some DVD's it will not play in my player because it is not in the correct country region Mad I have seen it before though, so it's not too bad! And my parents DVD player has no issues so I will probably watch it over there soonish.

Sounds like you've got a big day ahead of you Doogsy! Have a terrific time at the Race Horse and enjoy plenty of http://www.picgifs.c http://www.picgifs.c Hopefully the jockey in question looks lovingly in your direction and then you can take him home with you!

Jockeys are pretty small; perhaps he could sit nicely in your handbag for a fashion accessory the likes of which Carrie has never even had!

Good luck with your leopard in Tree stalking Wink

Hi Guy's Very Happy

Apologies for being absent for quite a while, bit of a bad trot, say no more but fine now and have been on hols this week and been out and about quite a bit which has been lovely and now we have all this glorious sunshine which we have all been waiting for. it's not good for Lupus sufferers but I still love to see it and I have been buying loads of new summer clothes which has been brilliant, every girls dream clothes shopping bounce

On Wednesday I was out to lunch with some old friends and then in the evening Mum and I went to see "Strictly Confidential" it is a show by Craig Revel Horwood from Strictly. It had Ian Waite, Natalie Lowe and Artem ( not going to attempt to spell his name No ) it also had Lisa Riley in and a brilliant singing group that did the music for the whole show and they even joined in with some dancing. It was a truely fabulous show and was called "Strictly Confidential" because you got to learn loads of personal stuff about the guys from strictly and also how the strictly program is put together, there is also loads of fab dancing as well and I would recommend it to everyone who loves dancing. As it was local and Zoe Ball lives in Brighton and has partnered Ian Waite she was also there.

There has been so much going on with this thread I apologise for not catching up with it all plus all the other 51 threads I have missed but I will do my best to slowly catch up and see what has been happening........one thing I have noticed is that GR went to the zoo dressed as a Flying Squirrel   no wonder you cant get anyone to go to the nighttime visit with you........actually I would if I lived nearer

I see Lai is away on holiday and Doogs has been busy at work but is having a good old racing weekend. PPH love the pics of your Deer from your work, it's great that you managed to capture her.

I hope everyone has been keeping well and stay safe in the sunshine as it is flippin' hot out there.

http://i70.servimg.c LW is back!

I was wondering where you had gotten to. It is lovely to hear about you enjoying the sunny and all the  (well, I'm not so sure that they were dancing exactly like this guy Laughing )

And you are right, every girl needs their clothes.

Though us guys wish you didn't Wink lol!

At the moment I think that everyone wishes I didn't either....took the onesie out on parade again this morning! Though I only go briefly onto main roads. I think that occasionally on weekends I will take it on walkies with the pooches, but only during Winter as in Summer it will be far too hot. I realised today that this flying squirrel is actually perfect colour co-ordination with Bella and Leo with its white and brown Very Happy

It's convenient too when you can just stroll out in your PJ's! But given this, I'd better start washing them more than just every month or so

And only a few days ago did I realise that it has pockets! They are 'hidden' on the inside of the batish wings. So maybe I could have even gone to the zoo in 'just' the onesie. As it was I had jeans on for pockets room/use.

Tonight I am taking my aunty and cousin to Werribee! http://i70.servimg.c But I will not be wearing the onesie on this occasion Laughing I wonder if I shall be recognised? "No, actually it's the reverse. Last time I went as my real self, this time I am under cover." Razz

They are really happy about this and think it is very generous of me, but really it is more for me. I think I will have a great time, and already excited about this fire show again! And yes, I am going to try to have my photo taken with the hottie! Hottie because she plays with fire obviously Razz

I shall be clearing out my simcards to give much room for photos and video. Yep, going to try the bootleg of entire show! And I have these new 'lithium' batteries which apparently help us to last longer (that's what all guys want right? Wink )

This week I also received my snow leopard onesie. Funnily enough it really is branded as women's lingerie, and it is rather petite; don't think I'll be wearing that out and about! Also it is not as warm as the flying squirrel, and I was a little disappointed to see that it doesn't even have a tail! But it is pretty snug, and I wore it yesterday whilst watching a newish episode of Lewis.

Earlier in the day the lunch with the family went really well. My grandparents really seemed to enjoy it all and the meals were nice (I had a chicken parma with some hot spicings). Grandpa was even drinking the same drink I was, lemon lime bitters (non alcoholic), which my brother has put me onto. My mum had got them these lovely pens with their names engraved which they liked.

Enjoy the rest of your weekends everyone Very Happy

Glad your Grandparents enjoyed their Anniversary GR and pens sound a lovely pressie that they can keep and use often which is really nice.
Those non-alcoholic Lemon Lime Bitters sound nice, I am a non drinker and I fancy the sound of them, are they just in Oz or could we get them as well?

I hope you have a fab time at Werribee tonight with your Aunty and Cousin, it's lways much better to share that kind of experience with someone isn't it but yes I bet they are glad the flying squirrel is staying home tonight Wink you are a brave man wearing it out and funnily enough when I was shopping today I saw a onsie that made me smile and think of you, it wasn't an African animal but a cow onsie with a cow hood and I nearly said out loud, "Ah GR for dog walking and the zoo" but just stopped myself Very Happy I forgot to check if it had a tail or not though What a Face

You need to get a pic of your snow leopard onsie for us all to see. Just think if we all lived nearer we could all do a mass visit to the zoo in animal onsies http://i70.servimg.c

It's been massively hot here today and the furries are feeling the heat so we have lots of fans going in the house to try and keep it cooler for them but it is nice to see the sunny  for a change.
Back to work tomorrow.......if I get up on time

Have a great evening everyone

Post  gregrowlerson on Mon Jul 08, 2013 1:03 pm

Very Happy It has made me smile a lot to think of this WAA onesie outing! For sure it would be totally awesome to go to a zoo with you all in our onesies!! http://i70.servimg.c

WS, you wouldn't need a onesie. Foxrobin au natural!

I have been mostly very happy today after last nights zoo trip. Well alas I did not go with anyone, as my aunty and cousin pulled the pin due to the cold weather. It was fair enough because those two are often sick, and have been lately, so not good conditions for them. Also when my aunty said yes to the invite she confessed that she wasn't really thinking straight and was quite overwhelmed by the invitation. But I still decided to go to my second Wild Nights and am very glad that I did.

Late today at work was kinda amusing as I thought I had made a monster blunder! It is still a bit of a blunder, but how it was, was a discovery that the plans and the purchase order said a certain height window, and I had sent something to site completely else entirely! "I must have been on acid that day," I said to my sales rep, though I had originally quoted the 'right' height, then crossed it out confused But then to my great relief I discovered an email where the building estimator had requested this other height. Phew! I still left two windows off the quote/order (notification of this was why I was going back over the file), but fortunately it seems that all of the windows sent out will not have to be replaced. And it was 2 units, mirror image Laughing

So I was most thankful for this Very Happy Then when I got home I watched bootlegs from my recordings last night  And then went on a wonderful lengthy walk in very happy spirits with music from Ipod in my ears as well as still last nights tunes from fire show.

I think that lemon lime bitters could be asked for in any bar. I mean, most drinks are pretty universal. Although LW, perhaps you will be given a weird look by the barman when you ask for this!

But that's probably just because you'd be a Brit asking for an NON alcoholic beverage http://www.picgifs.c

My parents are non drinkers too actually.

I have seen a cow onesie too somewhere, but don't remember where exactly. The onesie disease is spreading http://i70.servimg.c

I have already taken some 'selfies' of me in snow leopard mode...rather predictable I know  But probably no time for photo uploads tonight as it's getting lateish and I want to make more posts. Plus I have Leaping Leo outside at the moment because I couldn't get him away from me on the couch. So ought to bring him back in shortly.

After this post he can make his return. And the boy knows how to make an entrance!

My parents always joke that he is the party dog that needs no invitation Razz

Need the Sleeping regardless as last two nights been up late watching the Tour De France.

I think we might both be requiring persistent alarms tomorrow LW Laughing

"massively hot" - a scorching 15 degrees then? lol!

Well done to Andy Murray at Wimbledon.

Post  Doogs on Mon Jul 08, 2013 5:00 pm

Afternoon everyone.  It’s a lovely sunny  day up here in Scotland but I think you lucky people down south may be enjoying it slightly warmer than we’re getting.

Had a lovely weekend away with my friends and it was great to get racing again for the first time in a while.  It was a beautiful evening so that was bonus, short sleeves all night.  Had the winner of the last two races so I was ‘up’ for my evening.  Got a smile and wave from my fav jockey so that really made my night, swoon swoon I love you I love you  Few drinkies drunken at the racecourse (well 3 bottles of bubbles !!), few drinkies drunken  in a pub afterwards then a few drinkies drunken  in the house and eventually we got to our beds at 4.30am !!!   Car / train journey were quite tiring on Sat so I was glad to get eventually get home at 9.45pm Sleep  Sunday was dads birthday so we had a couple of drinks and watched the tennis, which of course was just grand cheers

How much longer is there to go in the TDF GR ?  Congratulations to you grandparents on their 60th wedding anniversary.  Sounds like everyone had a good time and the meal certainly sounded nice.

"Weren't you that guy in the onesie?" - you could end up being infamous for your onesie’s  especially as there are now so many on the go !  Snow Leopard one sounds pretty Cool  even if it is ‘womans lingerie’ Wink

Shame you didn’t get to the zoo with your Aunty but good on your for still going yourself.

Glad to hear what you thought was a ‘monster’ blunder turned out to be a ‘minor’ blunder at work, phew pale

Great to have you back LW, we’ve missed you Hugs  Hope you are feeling A Ok now, that lupus of yours is a right pest, grrrr Mad    Lots of new clothes, now that does sound good, a girl can never have enough clothes.  Glad you and mum enjoyed the show, as you know it’s not my thing but I do know it’s your thing so great that it was a good night out for the two of you.  Hope your first day back at work after your hols wasn’t too bad.

Good Evening Everyone Very Happy

What a shame you had to go to the zoo on your own GR, I understand about the cold and your Aunty and Cousin not being well but it was a shame but good on you for going on your own as Doogs says. Looking forward to seeing all your pictures and yes we need to see the "Selfies" of your Snow Leopard bounce

I bet your heart sank when you thought you had made the blunder at work so what a relief when it wasnt such a blunder after all http://i70.servimg.c

Did Leo make his grand entrance????? I bet he did http://www.picgifs.c  and yep, next time I am out I am going to hunt out those lemon Lime Bitters.......i'm not affraid to be a non alcoholic Brit No

Glad you had a good time at the races Doogs, not only a win but a wave from your fav jockey too   sounds like lots of drunken  was had as well
Hope your dad had a good birthday too cheers

Its remaining massivley hot here, so much so that Splodge was poorly yesterday and had to go to the vets but she is much better today which is good, Tiga and Nero have been fine. I have been ok Doogs, I love the sunshine but sadly it doesn't like me so the dreaded L thing is causing a bit of a hassle but it's not stopping me enjoying seeing the sun and and looking after all my plants, they are needing lots of watering at the moment, so hat and loads of sunscreen is being applied when I am in the garden   the laughing is me in a hat ROFL

Hope everyone is having a good week so far.......when is Lai back? I have lost track of when she went away.

Better to be funny, and safe LW, your right lots of watering, did ours at 9-00pm tonight, the sun stays on the flowers till around 6-00pm so they need chance to cool down before watering otherwisee you can boil them. Hello everyone

Apologies for the silence, we got back on Saturday after a truly wonderful 8 days in Shetland, more on that later. Sadly we have no internet or phones at home so hence the silence. BT came out for 3 hours and have given us a better line still with faults (MMMMMMM scratch ) but we are waiting as it is an underground fault so who knows how long before they come and dig.

We've also had a problem with Rosie, her front leg swelled up with internal bleeding and the vet thought it could be rat poison (just before we left for Shetland) it wasn't and the swelling has gone but the bloods show a problem. We have to take her back next week for tests as the lab and the vet are completely mystified. She's fine in herself and a very happy dog but we are really praying it isn't something serious. Meantime she's a bad foot but that's curable as she ripped a nail out What a Face

I will catch up properly tomorrow, just rather too much going on at the moment and with no home internet I am Crying or Very sad  silent

Lai it's lovely to have you back and so pleased you had a good time in Shetland but so sorry to hear about Rosie, I wonder what is going on, do you think she may have knocked her leg badly and it caused a Haematoma ? the bloods can be wonky from that with inflammation and alter the white cell count due to the bleeding and possible infection. Lets hope the vets get to the bottom of it but the good thing is that Rosie seems fine in herself which is a good thing. Pulling a nail out also sounds painful, looks like Rosie may be a tad accident prone bless her.

Dont worry about catching up, we all know what it's like when you ave been on a holiday etc loads to do plus you have a poorly dog and no internet etc, that must be a real pain with the telephone as well, lets hope it all gets sorted soon for you.

How is Tamu? hopefully she is not in the wars like Rosie.
Looking forward to all your news when you have time.

It's been another scorcher here today but I have heard we may get thunder tonight, I will not complain about that No

Got a friend round tonight to repot my Red Robin bush, it's got quite huge and has outgrown it's pot but it's too big and heavy for me to do so Matt to the rescue

Hope everyone else has had a good day and is surviving the heat ok.

Have a good evening

http://www.picgifs.c  Back Lai, glad you had a good time with SK. Please do'nt worry about coming on here, and catching up. Rosie is far more important, plus you have all your work to catch up on, and all the mither with your Internet, and Phone connections, that does seem to be ongoing where you live, trouble is if you go to somebody else if there's a problem it's BT who have to sort the lines. Really sorry to hear about Rosie, hopefully they'll be able to sort it out, or fingers X it may calm down itself

Post  Doogs on Thu Jul 11, 2013 5:19 pm

Afternoon everyone, another glorious day outside and another glorious day stuck in the office !!!  Hoping the sunny is out and about tomorrow as dad and I are heading up to Castle Stuart golf course (in Inverness) to spend the day watching the action from the Scottish Open.  Last year it was umbrellas and waterproofs needed hoping this year it’s shorts and sun cream !  Cool

Glad to hear that Splodge is better after his visit to the vets LW.  I’m glad you’ve been enjoying the sun and taking the necessary precautions with your hat and sunscreen – are you really that funny in a hat ???  Sounds like its Matt to the rescue with your Red Robin bush Very Happy

Oooh Lai great to get a post from you and know you are back safe and sound.  Didn’t realise you were going to be in Shetland for so long, how fab.  What a right hassle you’ve been having with BT re your phones and internet, it just seems to be never ending for you   Mad

So sorry to hear about poor Rosie and I really, really hope as well that the vets are able to find out what’s wrong with her and it’s nothing serious, poor thing.  Good though that she seems well in herself and is not sickly.

Take care everyone

Yes I am that funny in a hat Doogs, if I ever get brave enough I will post a picture affraid Splodge is fine now thanks and back to her old self which is a relief and yep it was definitely Matt to the rescue cheers

Hope everyone has had a good day.

Lucky you going to the Golf Doogs hope you, and your Dad have a great time. I know what its like flying a desk when the weathers nice like this, its great to get out.
Do'nt worry about the photo LW, I'm only expecting a big hat, with a pair of feet showing underneath  . I had a fall today so I'm feeling a bit sore, so I'll try to catch up on posts, although I'm working from tomorrow, and over the weekend

Good morning everyone

Group Hug  WS - I hope you are okay and not too bruised from your fall.

Still problems with the phone line which sounds like someone is pouring water down it, the internet comes on and then goes off and my mobile won't work in the house Head Banger  oooooooooooh we are fed up with it.  We're waiting to hear when they can come and dig and sort out a new cable (perhaps it is a mole this time, last time it was squirrels).

Rosie is fine thanks, yes it was a haematoma Littlewid, but they are not sure why it was so bad, she's seeing the vet on Wednesday and we'll go through all sorts of tests.  It may be a liver problem but we are hoping not.  She's such a wonderful dog and spoilt rotten by me (no surprise there).

We collect Kip on Monday http://i70.servimg.c http://www.picgifs.c more dogs and more chaos !!!

Enjoy the golf Doogs, and remember the sun cream, it's hot hot hot here today.

I'll definitely try and catch up properly next week, it's just that this week is mad busy, I still haven't downloaded my Shetland photos and really want to get that done on Sunday.

Have a good one everyone and take care in the sunshine.

I'm Ok thanks Lai, could have been a lot worse. A few cuts, bruises, and a bit stiff. Mra S says cos I'm wearing shorts I look like a school boy who's fallen over in the playground What a Face . Actualy I feel a bit like James Bond, Shaken, not Stirred

Glad Rosie is OK now, and we know how much you'll spoil your pets. Hopefully the Vets will get to the bottom of the problem, and with Kip on the way, your going to have your hands full. Your internet, phone, and moble must be a real pain, and so frustrating, after all the problem, you've already had in the past. As I said before do'nt worry about catching up there's been to many posts for that, and you have work, and everything else to catch up on, we all understand that. Your right its very warm, at the moment, my only complaint is it's 6 weeks late  Hope everyone has a great weekend.
