Better News . . . .

After a horrible week a couple of weeks ago where we lost Nalepo & one of her cubs to lions (the other two were taken to the orphanage Sad

) and of course Malaika lost 3 of her cubs (possibly now 4 as she was seen yesterday without the cub but it could be in hiding) . . . . we have some good news cheers

Amani the Cheetah has given birth to 3 cubs who are now about 3 weeks old and look absolutely beautiful I love you

thats fantastic news Doogs, I saw Onesmus' s post on FB at work, but then I lost my connection at work to post on it. They are fantastic photos and please let these little cubs have a long and healthy life, the cheetahs need a bit of good luck at the moment. It truely was a happy day to hear about them and thanks so much for posting and the gorgeous pictures Better News . . . . 853843

Lovely picture of Amani and her cubs taken by our guide Vincent yesterday. Unfortunately she has lost one of them Crying or Very sad

but the other two look as if they are doing well which is great.

We didn't get to see them when we were away as the path to the den where she had stored the cubs had been cordined off to give her some time and space away from the public eye. We fully accepted this, these cheetah's need every bit of help they can get to raise their young I love you

Sad news, unfortunately Amani has lost another one of her babies, that just leaves one reamaining cub Crying or Very sad

we know these things happen, but it's such a shame that all the investment the Mothers put into their cubs comes to nothing. Fingers X with only one to look after it will come through, and grow to adulthood
