Thanks for that WS. It looks like a great new initiative and also having Yao Ming on board will be a huge + I think.
This is one we must follow for sure.

I think its a fantastic initiative and having global superstars like David Beckham and Yao Ming on board can but only really help. Many children look up to and worship big sports stars and it is the children that can really help to change the future for these animals. Having all the other well respected organisations on board is just spectacular and I am sure there will be a real force for change with this new initiative and Prince William is so passionate and committed he is the right person to drive this. He also speaks with knowledge and enthusiasm and isn't affraid to speak out. I am very excited about this and as you say Lai, definitely an organisation to follow.

I agree they are exactly the sort of high profile people, that can raise awareness of the plight of the wildlife of this world. The other brilliant thing that Prince William has done is to bring wildlife organisations together in one group, and thats something thats needed to be done for a long time. They will be much more effective as a whole group rather than operating on their own

on that one too WS.
Tonight at 6pm there is a program on ITV where not only is Prince William talking about being a father but also his passion for wildlife and hopefully Prince George's passion in the future. It's on for an hour. Sorry for the late posting.

Just watched it, amazing and it was so moving, it brought me to tears with the scenes of poaching with the rhino and eles.
All 5 deserved to win for sure, they are so dedicated and I have so much respect for them all, but I was delighted to see that Tom Lalampaa won. Also great to see Clive with the life time achievement award.
A really great programme and Prince Williams passion for Africa really does shine through.

Great that Becks has joined forces with William, couldn't think of two bigger and better people to promote the fight for conservation. They are both so well known and many people look up to them both for different reasons, here's hoping they make a difference.
I also watched the programme with PW last night and thought it was excellent. Between that an Surprise Surprise ( ) which was on straight after me, mum & dad spent two hours blubbing our way through the two programmes !
not that I didn't like him before but I'm getting to really like PW more and more. His love for Africa just shines through in that programme which is absolutely wonderful to see. He is a very good speaker and he is obviously deeply passionate about helping the animals out there which is just fantastic - if there is anyone who will succeed it will be him. If he endorses / sets up charities to help these animal everyone will know it's genuine and won't be scared to donate/help when asked to - too many times you make donations you are wondering at the back of your mind if it's really going to what they say it's going to
All awards / acknowledgments at the Tusk Awards Dinner were greatly deserved, very special people
Here's hoping little George follows in his dads footsteps when it comes to Africa . . . after a few trips out there I'm sure he will

I though that was a brilliant interview, and his passion for wildlife really came through you could tell how moved he was at times with what's happening in Africa. I've been defending him on FB against some people who thought he should be doing more than just posing with Kate for the papers at the Tusk Awards. I still have the first 20 mins to watch, so I'll post some more when I've seen it

well done you WS for sticking up for William. What these people don't realise is that he probably is doing an awful lot more than "posing with Kate for the papers at the Tusk Awards" but it's just not documented in the papers every day. He wouldn't be making the commitment that he and shouting to the world to help these animals if he wasn't doing something himself
