An outbreak of cuteness

A real shame she was rejected by her mother but lets hope her maternal Grandmother will be able to raise her.

What a real cutey, and such a shame her mother would'nt take care of of her. It's brilliant that the hospital neo natal specialists are taking care of her. As you say LW fingers X her grandmother will take over, nd introduce her to the rest of the group

Oh mum, why did you reject such a cutie scratch Just heartbreaking to watch her give birth, drag it along the ground whilst still attached to the cord then just leave it there Sad Great to see that she is doing well though and fingers crossed for her future I love you

The Grandmother has done it before WS so hopefully she will do it again, I am sure she will as Gorillas are very family orientated arent they and they do protect the babies, so hopefully all will be good.

I dont recall it saying why the mum rejected her, I wonder if it was a first time mum or whether she had a rough start herself, I dont recall reading why she did it.

All it says LW is "Zookeepers tried to trick Nneka into nursing her baby by leaving her in the pen and keeping their distance, but the mom showed no interest in caring for her child" - think she may have been a first time mum.

Everything possible crossed granny gets the job and does a good job of bringing this gorgeous little one up

Thanks Doogs, I must have missed that last little bit about her being a first time mum or my silly brain forgot it but at least I was on the right track about her being a first timer. I am keeping my fingers crossed that Grandma will manage to raise her, it will be much better if she can.
