Post  whitestarling on Sun Mar 23, 2014 10:14 pm

Cant remember where we first posted about Anne the Elephant from Bobby Roberts Circus, but this is an update, from the Daily Mail

Anne the elephant will retire in luxury at £1.2million haven thanks to our generous readers

Anne, who is in her sixties, is Britain's last circus elephant
Footage emerged of her being beaten by Romanian groom in 2011
Since then funds have been raised for £1.2million Anne's Haven
Anne will now retire it enclosure in Longleat where she will live in luxury
Includes underfloor heating and 'spa' to take weight off arthritic legs

You originally posted it under animals of the world WS.

That's a lovely read and so great to know how much money has been raised for Anne. It really was such an horrific story of abuse and she so deserves some luxury and TLC.

Thanks for the update WS.
