Dramatic storms sweep across Britain ahead of the hottest day
of the year so far with temperatures expected to hit 32C

Warm air mixing with low pressure created the muggy weather which is perfect for producing lightning storms
UK is set to hot up again today, with forecasters predicting temperatures well over 30C in London and the South East
Another scorching day will lead to a night of further storms today - with Saturday predicted to be a washout for many

We were very lucky got away with it completely, not sure about the others. I think Lai would have got some as Mrs's sister in Cheshire had some really bad stuff, and Macclesfield would be next in line.
