Incredible pictures show orangutan using a stick to check river is safe to cross

Mego was rescued by the Nyaru Menteng Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre
Was released back into the Indonesian wild earlier this year

WOW No wthat is one clever Orangutan I bet he's seen humans do that, and worked out why, and is copying it. I've seen clips of them in rescue centres where humans have washed in the river with soap, and they copied that as well
