Moment cocker spaniel got his head wedged between a rock and a hard place at children’s playground... until he was freed with a pair of car jacks

Cocker spaniel Eric was trapped for over an hour at the park in Lancashire
Both the fire service and RSPCA were unable to help the distressed dog
Owner Paula Gerrard, and partner Carl, eventually freed the dog with jacks

Eric the Spaniel Empty Re: Eric the Spaniel

affraid Oh My Goodness, how terrifying that must have been for Eric and distressing for his family, not a good situation to get in at all. The trouble is Spaniels are quite nosey and they have quite thin heads really. This is a true story, I was down the beach with Lara and Kian, we had taken Nero for a walk, in the summer of 2013 and we have huge boulders like that on the beach and we were sitting on them while Lara and Kian were having an ice cream, we were in a safe place or so I thought when Nero slipped between the boulders and couldn't get out by himself. He was much lower down than poor Eric and I had to lean in and twist him round to get him out. I had fractured my spine a few months before in six places so it was not an easy job and I was scared I would end up in there with Nero but I did manage to get him out with the help of Lara and Kian in the end but that was a scary time so I know how Erics owners felt and how poor Eric must have felt. Well done to his owners for rescuing him http://i73.servimg.c
