Duck Duck Duck Duck Duck  Duck

We finally have Ducklings. They are Aylesburys, and hatched Friday there are 10 of brought them and their Mum brought down to the Pond on Friday evening. I didn't manage to get these two very short videos until yesterday, and they've grown already.

They are so funny to watch, they are like little toy motor boats, wind them up, and put them in the water  lol!

Not seen this behaviour before, it looks like Mum is feeding them, or at least showing them what to eat. Feed is being put out for them as well

There is still one more female nesting so we could have up to twenty ducklings

WOW These guys are growing up fast the were hatched Friday evening, and are already to big for Mum to cover them all to brood them.

The second female is sitting on eleven eggs, so we could have  a pond full

Sadly our second Duck gave up on her eggs, perhaps not a bad thing as the pond is quite small. A quick update on the fuzz balls, who are not fuzzy any more, they are 3 weeks old tomorrow

What a gorgeous thread WS.....The not so fuzzy fuzz balls are delightful but my how they change in 6 weeks, its quite unbelievable isn't it. Daphney had her ha ds full with those 11 little speed merchants, she's done a grand job hasn't she......lets hope they all stay away from the road !!!!!!
Are they going to stay on the pond or will some get driven off or sold as pets?

Looking forward to more updates on Daphney and the Fuzz balls.......wish I had a Welsh pond Duck
