Being born out of season hasn't done this gorgeous baby Hippo many favours. Bullied by the older calfs and the dominant male but he does have a fantastic mum http://i77.servimg.c

I agree LW a very brave Mum like all Mums they are fiercely protective of their offspring. Hopefully he will stay clear of the others till he gets bigger.

Sad Poor baby hippo, what a horrible thing for him, so pleased his mother was able to rescue him, and I hope he'll be okay and stay safe.
