RIP Roger Gower

Post  littlewid on Sun Jan 31, 2016 4:19 pm

I was so deeply saddened to read this today. An incredible man fighting for the life and preservation of the Elephant. He saw the beauty and magnificence of these creatures and all the poachers could see was money.....there was no respect for the elephants lives or that of a fellow human being. It just goes to show how sick and unwavering these low life are in their quest for money. Yes I hear stories that they are doing this to feed families etc but there is no excuse for taking a human life.

I am sickened with this and today we mourn the loss of beautiful and endangered Elephants but we also mourn the loss of an incredible human being who put his life on the line to conserve and protect the majestic Elephant. A lot of us do a lot of talking about the rights and wrongs but Roger didn't just talk........he gave his life

Rest In Peace Roger......i'm humbled by you.

I read this also, and was completely saddened, and sickened by such a tragic waste of life of such a good human being. Who cared about the world, and animlas around him enough to give his life to protect them. I did see some news last night that there have been arrests. Hopefully thay have caught these despicable creatures, and they will get their just desserts.

R I P Sad Roger
