Yesterday we went to Conwy Water Gardens. We have been wanting to go for some time as they have Otters there. It's a great place to to visit, they have all sorts of Wild Ducks, Wild Fowl, even Chickens just wandering around. There are Picnic Areas where you sit, three fishing lakes where they Anglers are not allowed to use barbed hooks, and must put all fish caught back. There is no charge for entering which we thought rather strange with the amount animals there, and the upkeep of the area. They rely on sales of items from a shop that sells food for the Ducks, and all sorts of items for keeping fish including the fish them selves. They also have a reptile, and snake house. The other main income is from their Dutch Pancake House they serve all types of pancakes with different fillings, like strawberrys, and cream, and some really exotic ones ( STOP DROOLING LW ).

Here are a few pics I have some videos that I will put on later showing the Otters, Capybara, and the Ducks at the moment I'm uploading them onto YouTube, and with my connection speed it will proberbly take all day

No problem Guys. All you need to know about Capybara

Capybaras are the largest of the rodent species. Weighing as much as a man, these oversized, pig-like animals are highly adapted to an aquatic lifestyle and even mate in the water. Capybaras are found over much of South America. Efficient grazers, they are able to crop even the short, dry grasses left at the end of the dry season. They are capable of a range of vocalisations and can purr and bark. Like rabbits, they eat their own dung to extract maximum nutrition from their food.

Thanks for that info WS - it's similar I think to a Carpincho which is a large rodent type found in Argentina and no doubt other countries in south America.

Not sure about the eating their own dung - seems a bit alien but very economical I suppose!
