Still from a video allegedly showing a Tasmanian Tiger, or Thylacine.
Extinct Tassie tiger seen by Tasmanian tiger searcher.
November 2010. The Tasmanian tiger, or thylacine, is thought to have become extremely rare, or perhaps extinct, on the Australian mainland even before Europeans arrived, but it clung on in Tasmania before being targeted by hunters. The last known Tasmanian tiger died in Hobart Zoo in 1936. However reports have persisted from Tasmania and across Australia leading some to believe that the 'Tassie tiger' has clung on in a few places, but no proof has ever been found.
Murray Mcallister has been running expeditions to search for live Tasmanian Tigers since 1998. he also records sightings from around Australia. Murray now claims to have shot a video of a Thylacine, and has released a short clip on youtube. The full video is 8 minutes long and Murray is apparently negotiating with a TV company over the rights before releasing the full video.

Re: Extinct Tasmanian tiger
the clip was .8 seconds long and it could have been anything - certainly it didn't move like a tiger!but it would be lovely to learn that it was genuine.

Re: Extinct Tasmanian tiger
I does have the majority of characteristics of a Tas Tiger. I have seen articles and pics of this animal before and found footage of the last Tas Tiger when it died it was classified as extinct (I believe)
Doogs its not a tiger as in a Siberian or Bengal, just that is has some characteristics like stripes etc.

Thanks for clarifying that SM, I didn't realise it was completely different
Now that you've posted that clip it could well be one, certainly very similar
