Migrant birds of prey
Our first Osprey is back,so for those of you living near a large expanse of water, especially if it's got trout in it,nows a good time to see them on their way up to Scotland. Also as the Sand Martins are arriving,Merlins will also follow them.Barn Owls will start breeding too,so again look out for them hunting early morning and at dusk, once there are young to feed they will hunt in broad daylight.Buzzards are displaying and so are Eagles and Goshawks, spring is definately in the air, even though they are forecasting more snow for us.

TB that is such an array. We have, I think, a pair of buzzards about. You hear that shrill cry and a couple of times when I have dashed out you could see them circling on thermals. Tried to get photos but they look like two black dots lol.

Sounds lovely TB what a great selection of birds. We've got plenty of buzzards and we saw an owl swooping past the other night.
I hope you don't get the snow, the weather is just so perfect this week.

Thats really good news TB, she is doing brilliantly isn't she. I remember you posting about her and the news that she may not still be around so this is delightful.
I tried the link but the web page came up as not found, I wonder if they are having problems, I will try it again tomorrow.

The cam at Rutland is the one I've started a thread for. Should be a great one to follow.

You really should try and go and see them in the flesh, the sight is quite inspiring. If you get to see them hunting that is even more impressive.
