Welcome to our humble home ForWildlife. And it really is a home. A place of great fun and warmth. You will find some big cat fans here too! I am more of a leopard man, but there are cheetah fans for sure (Doogs for one comes to mind). Feel free to post wherever you like and to take the time to look around the place as you will find lots of stuff that I am sure will appeal to you.

Welcome to our Forum ForWildlife Delighted you have found us and I hope you will enjoy looking around and posting on some threads that are of interest to you.

Lots on here for 'Wild Cat' fans and I am definitely one of them. I have been the Masai Mara 5 times and every time we go it is the 'Big Cats' that are on the top of our hit list ! As GR says below I am a big Cheetah fan and was lucky enough to have the thrill of one on our jeep last year on safari, it was such an amazing experience to be so close to a wild animal like that, she was incredibly beautiful I love you

Look forward to hearing from you once you have had a good look around.

Pandas are far from my favourite animal Meliker (I think they're a little overated Razz ), but because I am such a forgiving person I will forgive you that inexcusable mistake (for liking them more than leopards)! Laughing

We are a very loving bunch on these boards and like to have lots of laughs. You will find almost anything to do with any wild animals on here (as the forum name suggests Very Happy ), so please do peruse through the sections, threads and posts, and more so than that, please comment whenever you have something to say. We value interaction around here highly and you can have a lot of fun whilst learning a lot (which makes it a sort of upgrade on school http://www.picgifs.c ). Some of us also like smileys http://i70.servimg.c

A big cheers and to you for joining us, and we all look forward to your next post.

Introducing myself.

Post  mickeysutube on Thu Jun 13, 2013 10:59 am

Hi everybody,

My name is Mickey. My favourite animals... difficult to answer as I love all kinds of animals, but there is one I adore with all my heart, that's the manatee. They're so gentle loving animals.
Pets: I'm more a dog lover than a cat person ( I do love the big cats (favourite the black panther) I don't own any pets right now as I'm still not over my Labrador passing away a few years back.

I'm in the UK, West Midlands, but travel a lot, move a lot and enjoy taking video and photographs of all kind of animals. I found this Forum on Google.

Mickey ( mickeysutube)

Hope you enjoy my Videos as much as I did filming them.

http://www.picgifs.c  to the Forum Mickeysutube or MUT as I shortened it to on another thread Embarassed

Glad you were able to find us with your Google search.  We are a friendly bunch here who enjoy their animals, both domestic and wild.  Enjoying the clips you have posted so far, you must have done a fair bit of travelling, is that for pleasure, work or both ?

Very unusal to like the Manatee so much but lovely that you do - I remember seeing them in Florida many years ago and was overwhelmed by their size.

My heart goes out to you at the passing of your Lab, never an easy thing to deal with, there's a number of us on here that have been through the same emotions and it's not nice No

Please feel free to look about and join in any threads you wish, we are always looking for more people to contribute to the many topics we have on here.

Enjoy, Doogs   Very Happy

Hello Mickey and welcome to WAA http://www.picgifs.c  I'm glad you found us via Google.

I'm also a dog person and have 2, a Rhodesian Ridgeback and a rescue Greyhound.  We have only just got our greyhound as we very recently lost our lovely Penny another rescue greyhound, we miss her hugely but felt it was right to get another as there are 10,000 a year looking for homes.

I don't know anything about Manatees other than how gentle they are, your avatar is great.

Just going to check out some more of your video clips.

If you need any help with anything don't hesitate to ask.

Thank You! :)

Post  mickeysutube on Thu Jun 13, 2013 2:09 pm

Thank you for your great welcome and watching the clips!
Doogs you ask if the travelling was for pleasure or work. Mostly pleasure the travelling, the moving around the world is work. The love for manatees, was just something that happened more by accident because we had a day free to do something else while on holiday, I never even seen them before. So we didn't expect much. Somebody just said give it a try, so we did and then the manatees just come up to you in the water, wanting to know what the silly humans are all about, they come so close even giving you a gentle kiss, well that's it, you're hooked for live Very Happy So saving up to go to see them again.

This might be a help to you Micky. If you use Google Chrome, you can share your video by embed your Videos from You Tube by copying, and pasting the embeded link form You Tube straight into the posting box. The full screen feature then works as well

Glad your enjoying the Forum Very Happy

Ok I'm Charlotte
I'm an international wildlife biology student in South Wales
My avatar is on a young cheetah we tracked on foot, my first close encounter and she was so beautiful
I have no favourite animal, I love all, including the maribu stalk lol
I have a very loving and caring female rottie
I was searching images of shadow/zawadi when I came across the site, to find that no one knew what had happened to her.
I am a huge follower of proper conservation which focuses on the entire ecosystem rather than just a single animal.

Post  Laikipia on Wed Dec 11, 2013 9:45 am

Hi Charlotte and welcome to WAA.  I hope you enjoy looking round the site, we've lots of different threads covering all sorts of different wildlife.  Personally I love leopards.  Zawadi was such a favourite and a true star.  BCD really was such a great programme.

I'm lucky enough to have been to Kenya many times, and also Zambia and just love Africa.  We are going again in February to the Mara and the north to the Laikipia area which I think for me is the best place on earth.

We have 3 dogs, 2 rescue greyhounds and 1 Rhodesian Ridgeback, they are a happy bunch but they don't tolerate cats or small furry things so that's all we have in the way of pets at the moment.

If you need any help with anything just ask, we are all here to help.
