Re: National Trust UK Planning Changes
Sorry but am I missing something WS? are they talking about land being given up for development that will reduce habitat for wildlife? i'm either a bit slow or confused

They are talking about relaxed planning laws, where the bias will be towards the developer. The worry is that green belt land will have no protection, and wildlife habitat will not be taken into consideration

Ah so my thinking was correct. Thats not good news WS because developers have the money and thats all that counts to some people. We are already loosing enough green belt and our wildlife is suffering, lets hope the National Trust get the support they need to put this into perspective.
Thanks WS.

I am a member of the NT and agree with what they say about planning laws, but I find it a bit hypocritical of them when they plan to build 223 homes on the grounds of Erddig in N Wales against the wishes and a democratic referendum by the local people.
This of course nothing to do with the cost of the houses estimated at being worth £200,000 - £300,000 each

I've seen something about this PPH. Need to look where I saw it, as you say it does seem a bit two faced
