Re: Giraffe Cam
Been keeping an eye on Autumn this evening and she is just wandering around her stall most of the time, no news as yet.

Re: Giraffe Cam
Dont know if any of you have noticed this mark on Autumn.
I'm not sure if all Giraffes have it or its individual, if it is then perhaps she should have been called Star.
In this video earlier his morning, I thought she was going to start having the Baby towards the end of it
vid 2mins 45secs
Just checked again now, and she was lying down, but she's up again and eating. The wait goes on

Re: Giraffe Cam
Thts a great video of Autumn WS and I would have thought exactly the same, she really looked as though she was going to give birth, she really is keeping us all hanging on isn't she.
I have not noticed that star shape before, it would have been a great name for her, even though Autumn is lovely, star would have been so appropriate, well spotted WS.
I have just check on her and no news, she is in her stall and she has been eating.

Re: Giraffe Cam
No news on Autumn although I cant see her in her stall this morning. The Giraffe next to her is there but then again there is a corner of her stall you can't see on cam, I am sure she is fine but no sign of a little calf yet.

Re: Giraffe Cam
Been watching Honey for nearly an hour now, and I think she's definatly in labour. This vid shows her doing a push, but she's doing it every 5 to 10 mins. Going from one stall to the other
Vid 1min 45secs

Just checked again at 10-30am and she's resting

Re: Giraffe Cam
They are sitting with a close up of her. Things look promising (though we have been here before).

Re: Giraffe Cam
Ooooh looks like Autumn is just about there, hopefully it won't be too long until we see those long, gangly legs of a baby giraffe
Tried the feed just now and I'm not having much luck as it says "Your connection may be insufficient or the camera may be temporarily unavailable" - can't think it could be the connection as I'm at work and it's good here

Nice video earier WS and it certainly looked as though things may be happening but it seems as for now we just have to wait.

Re: Giraffe Cam
I've had it twice. Its was saying your broadband may not be fast enough for the HD Feed, then a bit later I've got on wierd. Although there was only one push on the vid I posted, we were watching for a while, and Mrs S agreed she was really pushing her knees were down at the front, and backend up, and she could see her push. Perhaps the baby was moving into position to be born

Re: Giraffe Cam
Just tried it again, and got the same thig about speed, but then If you look along the top of the page you'll see EarthCam network, I clicked on that, then if you look down the left hand side of the page you see a list of sites, pick South Caralinor, then the barn cam, and it worked for me. babys still waiting to come out

Re: Giraffe Cam

Re: Giraffe Cam
Yep its running OK for me as well. I wonder if its something to do with how many people are trying to watch the cam. At the moment she's chomping away and looking at the Giraffe in the next stall, which still looks very small for a creature that size

Re: Giraffe Cam
Maybe it is the number of people trying to watch that causes the issue WS and you are right, the stall next to Autumns does look rather small. This morning Autumn is lying down again with a rather large tummy still, I wonder when her actual due date is or was?

Re: Giraffe Cam
Next time it happens Lai. Go to the top of the page, and click on EarthCam networks, on the left there is a list of places where they have web cams, go down the page, and select South Caralinor, click on that then select Girrafe Barn Cam see if that works. It has for me when I've had the same speed message, Just checked, and Autumn is still walking around, and eating for two

Re: Giraffe Cam
They are having a bit of a fun contest on naming the time, and date of the Birth on EarthCam's FB page. If you want to click the FB link underneath the search box
WS
Ps Lai if your having problems getting on check my post on the last page, just before LW's last post

Re: Giraffe Cam
Checked on Autumn just now and she is not in her stall, so tht obviously means no calf as yet.
Will check out the fun date and time comp next time I check in on Autumn WS.
