Summer Flowers/Pictures 2013
A thread for all our Summer Flowers or pictures of the Summer that don't go into any other thread so they can just be one off pics or pictures that we want to share. So I will kick it off with my new Gooseberry Bush and some flowers from my garden.Taken on my phone as my battery was charging.
These will be lovely and sweet when they plump up as they are Dessert Gooseberrys
A huge Moth that was in front of me whilst taking pics of the chicks last night, I only spotted him after I had been almost leaning on him!
Some of my tubs
I love Purple & Lilac

Littlewid, a great idea for a new thread. I love all your tubs they are beautiful, I bet it takes time to water them all after a sunny day.
We also grow goosegogs but I hate picking them and love eating them
I'll get my camera or phone out later when the sun comes out again and add some photos of our flowers.
Thanks for sharing Littlewid.

I am not a major green thumb LW, but a good idea for a thread and some very lovely photos
That moth could have become rather famous if it had been killed by you on that cross!

Glad you like this thread guy's and hopefully we will get lots of lovely flowers, gardens and an assortment of summer pictures, so you don't need to be a green thumb GR as you can post any summer pics in here that you like.......by the way, I am no green thumb either
Lai I have 9 tubs growing with wild flower seeds that are doing well, I have 2 Acers, my Gooseberries (and later this week I am receiving a Raspberry plant as well) then I have 5 tubs of flowers and shrubs and then there is my Bonsai as well, so yep, after a warm sunny day there is a lot of watering and although its in my front garden I have my lovely yellow rose bush that at the moment is just awash with buds ready to bloom and its great looking after them all as I love plants just realised I have 10 tubs growing wild flowers and already with the assortment of plants etc the bees are visiting the garden so when the wild flowers bloom I reckon I my need a bee suit to hang my washing out
Looking forward to everyone elses pictures of Summer

My Yellow Rose bush in the front garden is full of buds and also blooms now, I really do love this Rose Bush and every year it just gets better and better. Here are couple of my sunny roses.
Oh yes, the other day I brought a lovely Fuchsia plant, they are so lovely

Mrs Kipia is back!!!
Looking back on what I have missed, I really love the variety of frogs in your garden WS! Are you a massive fan of them or is it Mrs S? Or both of you? They really add to the character of your plants/garden nicely.

Re: Summer Flowers/Pictures 2013
Yesterday I went to the Nursery again, I was on the hunt for a Redcurrant plant and I knew they had some, what I had forgotten, was that they had these as well.......how could I forget them.
Geece - taken on my phone in strong wind whilst holding on tightly to my Redcurrant bush.
My Redcurrant plant has been planted and I have lots of these to rippen, just need the sunshine!.
Today I went to a garden centre for a look around and found these lovely poppies and couldn't resist as they are another one for the Bees.

Littlewid, lovely photos and well done for buying more for the bees, those redcurrants will be wonderful with a lot of sunshine, so fingers crossed summer arrives soon.
The geese look very content there and very used to people I imagine.

Re: Summer Flowers/Pictures 2013
Did'nt know you were ambidextrous LW, Phone in one hand, Redcurrent tree in the other. Mind you they look more like Goosegogs . Lovely pics of the Geese, and the pics gave come out really well considering the wind, and they were taken on your phone. Our hanging baskets, and flowers have taken a reall bashing with all the wind we've had, they are looking rather bedraggled at the moment so we're hoping for some warmer better weather this week.

Re: Summer Flowers/Pictures 2013
They are definitely not Goosegogs WS and to prove it here they are ripening quite nicely
.
A couple of weeks ago I was trying to capture two little birds far off in the distance and I wasn't having much luck focusing on them as they kept flitting about, which is fine as thats what they do. Anyway I clicked on the shutter when I didn't mean to but got this picture of some leaves and i quite like it, it's different anyway.
These are the two birds in the distance, it's a rubbish picture as they were a long way off and I really couldn't get a handle on them, they were leading me a right song and dance all over the place.

Re: Summer Flowers/Pictures 2013
Yesterday we had a BBQ at Emma & Toms which was lovely, but there was also a very strange cat at the proceedings........ever seen one of these before?
It's called a Lara Cat and it's kind of domesticated
This one is definitely not domesticated as she had just eaten her chocolate cake whilst walking up the road watching Kian ride his new bike.
Aaaaaaghhhh get that van out of the way!
I love my new bike
But I don't like being asked to put it way
Nero giving you all of his best sides
And my Blooms which are Blooming
