Not a new story but worth watching again and again! So amazingly touching - the story of Shirley and Jenny, two crippled elephants reunited at The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee after a 22-year separation. The bonding was immediate, intense and unforgettable between the two former circus elephants. But long after the cameras were turned off, the wondrous moments would continue..

What an incredibly moving clip WS of Shirley and Jenny, it had me in floods of tears for quite a while. It was beautiful to see them together but the recognition they had for each other on meeting was just unbelievable and bending the bars of the enclosure to get nearer to each other was something else. How poignant was it to see them holding each other with their trunks, it was just like we humans holdings hands and not wanting to let the other one go. It was a meeting where you could really feel the emotions they were going through. It is truely wonderful they are now together and have each others loving company, it really is beautiful.

Oh my really shouldn't have watched that here at work, got tears streaming down my face but of course its tears of joy and happiness. What a lovely story and better late than never that these two old dears will live out the rest of their lives free from the cativity of chains and together as friends. That bit of the two of them using their trunks to almost cuddle one another was so moving I love you

Thanks for that WS
