I have to say, that lioness has the most ticks I have ever seen an animal have the misfortune to pick up, it's a wonder if she had any blood left!

Thanks Lai and WMT. The life of a lion pride is is definitely very up and down and never very settled. There is always something happening. Whenever I return to the conservancy the Offbeat Pride always seems to going through some sort of transition which is why I have to keep going back to see what is happening to them. I know you should never get emotionally involved with wild animals but it is difficult not to when you get to know them.
Lai I will be returning to Kenya and Offbeat Mara on 15 Jan. for about 9 days, I guess you and Pete will be heading north again!!

We'll just miss you then Safariman, we're heading out on 11th January and flying straight out on Safarilink to the north .......
I really can't wait.
