Tasha2 Peregrine Falcon Cam
Tasha2 is a peregrine Falcon who is nesting on the Gulf Tower. She laid her first egg on 17th March, her second one on 3rd April and her third egg on 9th April, incubation starts on the laying of the last egg and can take up to 32 days, so Tasha2's chicks should hatch on 11th May. I have been following Tasha2 along with Dorothy the other Peregrine Falcon and hopefully her eggs will hatch on time and we will have another 3 chicks to watch.
Heres the link to Tasha2's cam and a picture of Tasha2 sitting on her eggs.

Re: Tasha2 Peregrine Falcon Cam
They have turned the focus up on Tasha2, I think this may be because her chicks are soon to hatch. here are some lovely close pictures of her this evening.
Tasha2's eggs are due to hatch on 11th May.

Tasha2 is resting deeply on her eggs, you can see how beautiful her feathers are. 2 days to go until hatching.
its very windy there at the moment so Tasha2 is keeping those eggs nice and warm.

Re: Tasha2 Peregrine Falcon Cam
Tasha2 has a chick, just had a check in and its still very windy, tasha2 is getting blown around and she kept looking underneath her, I thought she was checking the eggs, which she was, but then she moved and revealed a white fluffy chick, you can just see it in the picture.
first white fluffy bundle to the left of the egg.
Tasha2 has 2 eggs to hatch, we could wake up to 3 chicks in the morning.

You can see the chick more clearly in this picture and it looks as if the egg to the right is hatching too.

Tasha is looking quite dozy at the Mo, she seems worn out with all the hatching thats been going on. I cant see if the 3rd egg has hatched

Re: Tasha2 Peregrine Falcon Cam
Tasha2 is not letting us see her chicks this evening, she is keeping them very close underneath her, one keeps trying to escape but tasha2 is having none of it, she keeps wriggling to keep them well underneath her.

It's blowing a gale where Tasha is at the moment she's really huddled down keeping her chicks warm

Re: Tasha2 Peregrine Falcon Cam
Just checked in on Tasha2 and its really windy tonight, the weeds are growing and hiding her and her chicks and the cam is blowing as well, so a very blurry picture and not good for Tasha2 and her chicks.

Poor Tasha2 - if those weeds grow too much we'll never see what's going on.

Tasha2 just now
It was difficult to clearly see the chicks - i think i saw 4 or 5. The one at the front managed to get all the food, so i hope the others are getting fed.

Re: Tasha2 Peregrine Falcon Cam
Lai those are great pics, I've just looked in and Tasha2 is away and you can just about see the chicks in the back, they are covered by the weeds and when they do pop their heads up, they are so white with black eyes they blend in with the poop on the wall, so you really need to watch them live at the moment, but they have grown well from what i could see.
A terrible picture but they are there and it was good to see them but as I say, they are blending well but before long we are not going to see them at all until they start wandering around a bit, the weeds are so tall now.

Re: Tasha2 Peregrine Falcon Cam
Wow - it didnt take long for those weeds to take over did it?
It will be lovely when they start moving around a bit more so we can get to see them and not the weeds and the poop!!!
Thanks for letting us know Littlewid.

Re: Tasha2 Peregrine Falcon Cam
I know, those weeds are taking over Lai, but if they grow like Dorothy's chicks we wont have a problem seeing them hopefully. Just a shame it's hard to see them now with all their white fluffy feathers.

Re: Tasha2 Peregrine Falcon Cam
All Tasha2's chicks are there but hard to see apart from the one who was wandering about a little bit, they need to get much bigger for us to see them properly.

Re: Tasha2 Peregrine Falcon Cam
Checked the cam just now and it's still too dark there to see much, not to mention the weeds have taken over. I did see one little chick hop up and then disappear
Let's hope all is well with Tasha2 and her family
