That's fantastic news that they now have the money to build Anne a luxury home, she more than deserves it doesn't she and the plan looks really good. I am sure she will continue to do really well. It's lovely that it is big enough for them to rescue and rehabilitate some more elephants if needed and it would be nice for Anne to have some friends as they are used to living in herds and not solitary but I understand why Anne has been on her own.
Lets hope we get an update of when the building is finished and Anne moves in Elephant behind

Doogs. What a change in Anne and it really brought tears to my eyes watching her walking up to her new enclosure. I'm thrilled she won't be on display but be allowed to do her own thing. After a life of complete hell she deserves respect and dignity and care and love.

A good news story for sure. Thanks for remembering to update us Doogs cheers

That's brilliant, what a lovely facility, and she does deserve it so much after what she has been through. I have to admit it did bring Sad

This article is really about advertising a book by Claire Elicott about Annes Journey. However, as horrible as it is to be reminded of Annes past, it is still good to read that she is happy and looks happy and remains very well.

Thanks for sharing Littlewid, it's horrible to be reminded what Anne went through but wonderful to read about her life now. It goes to show the power of the media and just how much people care.

Agree it is sad that Anne had to go through all that trauma, but at the same time so wonderful that so many people, and organisations came together to help her, and that she is now living a good happy life
