Re: Anne's agony: Battered, kicked and stabbed
Thanks for the Petition link Lai which I have signed
Fantastic that Longleat have stepped in and Anne should be there within the week. The travelling to Longleat shouldn't be a problem as she must be used to being transported.
Good to see Born Free also getting involved, always a good sign
Looking forward to seeing the pictures of Anne
in her new enclosure soon

Great news for Anne, and I love the pic of the little Guy at the end.

Really glad she is going to Longleat

Good news for Anne - I hope she can live out the rest of her life with dignity and in peace. It would be lovely to think she may have some ele company. I can't wait to hear that she is actually there and being cared for.
Thanks for posting WS.

I agree, but you can't beat some
I agree with Born Free that she should be allowed privacy and peace not be 'on view'. It would be wonderful to think she could end up at a proper ele sanctuary, but the States is too far for her to travel and we don't have such a thing here. Now there's an idea!

Re: Anne's agony: Battered, kicked and stabbed
At least she's safe now, and being cared for, and it's a brilliant sign that she's walking much better. The pain relief must be a blessing for her. Good idea to let her have some peace, and quiet after all the people she's been forced to put up with over the years. I also think the sates would be to much for Anne at her age, and after all she's been through. Good idea about the Sanctuary Lai. Mrs S says Anne proberbly thinks she's died, and gone to heaven with all the care, and treatment she's getting

NOW I can breathe a sigh of relief for her. Until she made it to Longleat I believe the Roberts could change there mind, not now though!
They said something about keeping her away from the public; I wonder is this a condition agreed by the Roberts?

I think Born Free suggested it would be a good idea. The Roberts should have no say in anything at all to do with Anne, they have caused her enough pain and suffering.

Thanks for posting that WS - that really made me
this morning but with relief, to see Anne having a good time and learning how to enjoy herself.
What a lovely idea to have an ele sanctuary here for other mistreated eles - definitely a project I will be supporting.

Ok so more
of joy today for Anne
Doesn't she look so much happier and it's as though a huge weight has been lifted off that old shoulders of hers, lovely pictures
Great news in the Express article WS - that decision is long overdue but better late than never :)

Re: Anne's agony: Battered, kicked and stabbed
I am just over the moon that everything has turned out so well for Ann. She looks so happy and it just melts your heart, like the rest of you I have had tears of joy reading all the updates and looking at all the pictures. I will definiately be supporting the sanctuary and sending a donation.
Thanks to everyone who has posted the updates, it has given me a real lift this evening. I also hope that Ann gets some privacy and time to recover, although she does seem to have made some progress already. Just goes to show what kindness and the right care can do, plus lots of love.

They are getting there WS but they have a long way to go. Justgiving is a safe way to donate so I think it's how I will give my donation.
It would be nice to keep an eye on the page so we can see how their efforts are going. I wonder how long it will take them to reach their target?

Re: Anne's agony: Battered, kicked and stabbed
I did it a few days ago - by the looks of things so did plenty of other people which is fantastic news. It just goes to show that we are still a caring nation of people.
I really hope it won't take long and more eles can be rescued, that would be wonderful news.

I Agree with you all. When I checked it last it was sitting around £60,000.00 so quite a jump since then! It is a big target though so I hope it does not dry up quickly.
