We need to ban all insecticides,then a lot more wee bugs might get a chance to live.Go organic if you can afford it and certainly be organic in your gardens.

Quite agree TB. We buy as much Organic food as we can, also free range eggs from local farms. There has been loads of studies, and reports on wether Organic food is better for you or not, but they never say that Organic is better for our invironment. Having said that. I've just found this report

That is not an independant scientific report,that's agri business doing some pr.The last paragraph mentions species that only survive in low intensity farming environments and nowhere else,there are no breeding Corncrakes anywhere near any commercial farms on the scale that the UK mainland supports.

The point is, TB, that people with no, or only a mild interest in wildlife are brain washed by this sort of thing. Although it really does'nt take a genius to work out that organic farming is much more invironment friendly than intensive with its chemicals.
What do you think of this report ?
