Lets hope someone is able to catch a glimpse of an Otter and get the final proof PPH. If they have had Salmon and Owls returning then theres no reason why the otters wont return. It sounds as though they have done an incredible job on cleaning up the Mersey.

Wonderful news, you can never have enough cute, gorgeous otters going about :)

Well done to the Mersey Basin Campaign for their efforts in cleaning up the water, looks like it is now paying dividends with the otters returning.

Here's hoping somone gets a photo of them as 'proof of the pudding' Very Happy

Thats fantastic news. On a programe in the Country File series, there was a clip about the Mersy. Although it's called the Mersy, it also flows through Manchester, and he was saying how well the fish had returned to the river in the last few years. I used to drive past Fiddlers Ferry, and there is a massive power station there, so they must have done well to get contamination down
