After the death of Mercedes in April 2011, Walker the Polar Bear at the Highland Wildlife Park near Aviemore has got a new friend :) Walker gets a New Friend 853843

I Agree Lai Pai. In know Polar Bears are solitary animals but if they are in the wild that is their choice. If they are held in captivity, in an environment that is much smaller than the wild, to have a 'friend' to have play and have fun with is nice and of course not lonely :)

AAAAWWWW I am so pleased for them both and it was great to see the video of them both in the second clip getting on and having a good birthday celebration, so much better for them both to have each other for company. Two great articles on Walker and Arktos Doogs cheers

That's brilliant to see them getting on so well, especialy as they are both Male as well. I bet Arkos was pleased he'd had his teeth done with the fish being in the ice.
