Re: Rhino Crisis Solutions
Thanks WS - point 4 is the most essential to my mind, without the education to the far east poaching of all wildlife will continue whatever money is put into the anti poaching pot.

Re: Rhino Crisis Solutions
I agree with all those points, they are all valid in helping to save the Rhino.
I only hope that with point 4 they are not just going to try and educate China on the brutality of poaching and the effect it will have on the Rhino, I hope they educate them on the reality that Rhino horn does nothing for them medically or status wise. I don't think that a lot of consumers care enough about animals to worry about their extinction or their suffering, it is all about what animals can do for them, so when they realise they can do very little for them in the way of health or status then maybe as a secondary impact they may just realise they have been very brutal and wasteful of an animals life. Sadly it should be the other way round first but there has been huge efforts already on how poaching can affect some species and it falls on a lot of deaf ears, I really think they need the hard facts of Rhino horn, Tiger parts, Elephant Tusks DO NOTHING FOR YOU AND DO NOT MAKE YOU A BIGGER, BETTER PERSON, maybe once that hopefully has sunk in they will realise what they have been doing to animals.
Maybe my thought process is wrong, I just wish money wasn't having to be ploughed into poaching at all......it shouldn't be going on in the first place.
