I had never heard of Blood rain before, but last year when it got extremely windy we had a couple of days where the cars etc were covered in a fine dust and we were told that was sand blown from the sahara, it was quite weird but it was definiately sand on the cars and on the windows and the whole street had it and other places around here as well.

I've never heard it called Blood Rain before, but we've experienced it here a few times, and we did get some last year, and its a pain when everywhere gots covered
