I ask because the general narrative about owls is that they are wise creatures. Two falconers I've spoken with, however, tell me that owls are the most stupid birds they've ever worked with.

Perhaps the following story helps to settle the argument...

If I could I would ask the little ball of feathers, 'Did she look ANYTHING like Mum?' Very Happy

What an amazing story Shocked that's one lucky little owl.

On Springwatch or Unsprung they were saying that owls aren't nearly as clever as for some reason we think they are - i think that proves the case TT, of all the places to land pale affraid

What an amazing story and what a lucky owlet, you would have thought the outcome would have been completely different, i'm really pleased it wasn't. They are amazing pictures and Mmmmmm maybe not so wise of the owlet to land in there.

I think TT it was either very brave or very stupid, and I know which one I'd go for lol!
Great story though TT. Thanks for putting it up
