it seems to have formed an 'attachment' to my mum's owls. She said its there most of the day trying to impress the owls. I think he must be a very confused young bird

Oh Bless Him PPH, what a sweet little chap he is but sadly he will not get a response from your mums owls. I hope he doesn't forget to mix with his own kind. As you say he must be a youngster to be so focused on them or maybe your mums house just looks very inviting to him Very Happy

I'm sure thats a male Chaffinch, and it proberby fledged last year, and is looking for its first mate this spring. It's a little early for any for any hatchlings from this year. Do'nt think it will have any luck courting your Mums Owls PPH Confused birdie 40683 hope he does'nt get an inferiority complex. Love the appropiate name on the Van outside lol!

Ive only just noticed the name on the van and yes it is appropriate

It is a male chaffinch and hopefully he will realise he's 'chirping up the wrong tree'
