Oh Bless Him PPH, what a sweet little chap he is but sadly he will not get a response from your mums owls. I hope he doesn't forget to mix with his own kind. As you say he must be a youngster to be so focused on them or maybe your mums house just looks very inviting to him

I'm sure thats a male Chaffinch, and it proberby fledged last year, and is looking for its first mate this spring. It's a little early for any for any hatchlings from this year. Do'nt think it will have any luck courting your Mums Owls PPH hope he does'nt get an inferiority complex. Love the appropiate name on the Van outside

Ive only just noticed the name on the van and yes it is appropriate

Awwww tootie I hope it realises some time soon that trying to mate with that is not going to get him anywhere fast . . . or produce any offspring
