What a great lookin Dog Staffslass Our Misty a Welsh Border Collie started out the same way. She was from Kennels, and had 3owners who all took her back, but we've had her for 12 years now and she's lovely unfortunatley she's had a bad turn a couple of days ago, and she's on medication now till we see how she goes

A black and white, he is fab staffslass. Fred is a stunner too.

I used to have a black and white Jack Russell when I was younger called Lucy, but the rest have been cats.

Nice pictures. Thanks for posting

What gorgeous dogs staffslass, ive never had a rescue dog but they do say they make the most loving loyal dogs. I've never known anyone whos owned an Otter Hound before and don't know much about them, what are their personalities like? They are lovely pictures and thank you for posting and sharing them with us, it's always really nice to see members pets and welcome them to the forum as well.

otter hounds can be traced back to king henry II
they were bred to hunt otters
untill the sport was banned in the 1970's
they are now a rare breed of dog and are only see in crufts ive not meet another person with a otterhound

they are very much a person dog and they love to cuddle up with people
they are also very bright it didnt take fred very long to learn how to open the kitchen door and help himself to their treats

they love going for walks and fred loves going for long rambles he will walk for miles
and they are always mooching about they are into everything

they are a hairy dog a shaggy dog so i have to get use to dog hairs everywhere lol and fred whiping his beard all over me after hes had a drink

they are not a dog who constantly bark even if someone comes to the door but once there out and catch the scent of something then they will bay to tell you what they have found

on the whole they are very loveing cleaver and funny dogs

They sound a wonderful dog to have staffslass, seems like they are a good all rounder, thanks for posting the information, I will be keeping my eye out to see if I spot any but I doubt it as you say they are only ever really seen at Crufts.
One of my dogs is a Retriever so I can understand the dog hair and the dripping mouth after a drink....always one to share are Retrievers but don't you just love them.

Lovely dogs Staffslass and well done you for taking them both in from rescue centres.

Never heard of an Otterhound before so thanks for the insight into them.
