Heart-warming video shows baby elephant trying desperately to wake up sleeping dog with his trunk

It's a very touching clip, but as ever I am wondering why that poor little ele is all alone and bored in captivity?

My silly tablet wont play the video as it says I dont have flash player, but I cant seem to download it either 
from the pictures though at first I worried the dog was dead as I was sure the little ele would rouse it, so I was glad to see it move in the end. It is a cute story but hes Lai, I agree, where was its mum? Unless this is a rescue centre and its mum is either dead or rejected him.
