Striking photos reveal how colourful creatures sip on salt-rich water

Travel photographer Jeff Cremer and biologist Phil Torres captured sight in Tambopata, Peru and said they'd never seen so many butterflies at once

It occurs because range Julia butterflies and yellow Sulphur butterflies require the nutritional benefits of salt and turtle tears are rich in sodium

The biologist said that while turtles seem unperturbed by the gentle touch of butterflies, they are not as placid when bees come to drink their tears

those are some of the most spectacular photos I have seen, they are quite beautiful. The turtles do seem very patient dont they so I assume it doesnt hurt them but I understand why they wouldnt want a bee drinking their tears, could be a bit painful.
It is weird but also amazing as you say Lai. You live and learn something new everyday.

Fantastic photos, I think I've seen this before or something like it, as you say they seem quite happy with the Butterflys doing it, but a Bee's a different thing all together What a Face
