Definiately not Tigerburnie, you dont have to love them to respect them, all wildlife is precious.
Thanks for the Heather picture, I know you didnt take it for that reason but I appreciated the picture.

Fabulous flock of Geese. I thought at first it was one of those huge balls of starlings you see. Starlings are one thing but a flock of Geese that size I would be taking cover!

Is that a millipede? I love all creatures, great and small.

Wonderful pictures TB.

I believe it is a millipede,no expert on creepy crawlies, though I seem to be good at finding them.Back catolgue - Page 2 Dscf0012

This Roe was disturbed having it's lunch, but if you are quiet and keep the wind in the right direction it's surprising how close you can get.

This was taken using my car as a hide, handy having a 4x4.

One of these days I will look in my books and find out what these creepy crawlies are, think my wife took this one, she's not so keen on wildlife spotting ,but is a good photographer.

Don't know what this is either, both were in Montreathmont forest on a woodland walk that leads to a little homemade hide where you can see......
Back catolgue - Page 2 Dscf0016
Luckily not too rare and no horrid grey ones either.

Those are wonderful photos TB, sadly I don't know what the creepy crawlies are, Lai's other half is apparantly good on insects and stuff so Lai might be able to help out. I knew the Red Squirrel.....thank heavens.....lovely little fellow.
Your wife really does take a good picture.

This from inside the hide to give you an idea of how close you can get to nature,we had a Sparrowhawk land on the hide shelf once, about two feet from my wifes nose, not sure who was the more surprised.

Had a look in Pete's book i think the little green beetle is a Green Tiger Beetle. I am not sure of the other hairy looking monster!

Wonderful to see the red squirrel. We were lucky to see them in Anagach Woods when we were in the Cairngorns in April. Sadly no such luck here, we are overrun with grey squirrels What a Face

The caterpillar may be a Gypsy Moth caterpillar but i am not sure.

As you can see it's a bit of a jungle, you just don't know what's in there some days

Local fields,we have skylark and corn buntings of nationally important numbers I'm told. There is intensive farming, but thankfully some farmers prefer the older fashioned way.Several are growing organically.

Great Photos TB, you post as many as you like we are all really enjoying them. i love the photos of Puffins when they have sand eels in there beaks they look really comical. We have an Island near the coast where we live thats called Puffin Island, for years it always had Puffins on it then rats got on there, and eat all the Puffin eggs till in the end the Puffins all left, and did'nt come back. The RSPB, mounted a recolonisation effort, after the rats were got rid of, it did take some time ,but a couple of years ago the Puffins started to return, and they are now breeding again.
Love the Video LW
