MEERKATS

We haven't got any Meerkats on the site and I do rather love them, so I thought I would post some pictures from last summer, these were taken at Marwell Wildlife park last summer.

Lovely photos Littlewid - i really enjoyed Meerkat Manor when it was shown on TV. They are amazing animals, although not quite as sweet as they look.

I visited Chester Zoo last year and spent some time trying to get some photos of them with my new camera they are on my work computer so i will find them later.

Oh my gosh, they are too cute for words! I had a little giggle when I saw them all standing up! And the tummy rub was adorable. Isn't Simon King fantastic?

I'm just going to add to the Meerkat page as well. Here is a picture I took at Whipsnade last year

SM thank you for that gorgous video, how lovely was that, little Arnie having his tummy rubbed was so cute, I am sure I am going to watch that a few times as I have a big passion for meerkats. Like you WS I watched all the Meerkat Manor series and just adored it, I have the book too but I must say, I had a big interest in them before Meerkat Manor, I even named to fish of mine after Shakespear and Zaphod, daft I know but I so loved those two boys.

Loving your picture Anne-Marie, he looks like he has a cheeky grin for the camera, if you have any more please post them.
When I went to Marwell their enclosure was always surrounded by people and lots of them were adults with no children, they are very popular animals.

My Neice is going to Marwell for her friends Birthday present and I am a tad envious I must say as I know Lara will be visiting the Meerkats.

Just adorable SM, they realy bring back memories of watching Meekat Manor, I never tire of seeing them or gorgeous pictures of other Meerkats. There really are some wonderful pictures there, they really are such amazing creatures with strong family values.
