Looks like you lost another duckling from your post Lai, but at least the 8 are growing up well, and the addition of the pheasant chics is a big plus. Fingers X for them, and the rest of the ducklings

We did sadly WS but happy to report that the 8 remaining are growing up and now a good size, they are regularly running up from the pond for food. We haven't seen any pheasant chicks for a while but are hoping they are hiding in the long grass. Last year they didn't come out into the open until they were a little bigger.

Thats good news LAI the bigger, and older they get the more chance of survival, and hopefully those pheasant chicks are hiding away

All present and correct just now. 8 Ducklings and 6 Pheasant chicks. They are all gorgeous and the little pheasies are really good at staying in the long grass of which we have a lot! This morning I met Mrs Pheasant whilst checking our bees and we were both so shocked she leapt up in the air followed by 6 chicks looking like little jack-in-a-boxes  Laughing  She did her injured wing impersonation so I left them all too it and now they are all feeding  Garden wildlife - Page 2 71418
