The moment a herd of elephants came together to save drowning calf
as they crossed treacherous Kenyan river

Baby elephant became trapped after almost being swept away while crossing the Ewaso Nyiro river in Kenya
Its mother rushes to her offspring's aid desperately trying to free the calf before another elephant joins in
Mother uses her trunk to free the youngster and eventually guide it to safety
Images were captured by Sandy Gelderman, a guest at a luxury camp in Ol Pejeta Conservancy in central Kenya

That's brilliant Doogs, I know we've seen similar incidents before, but what impressed me was the way the other Elephant worked its way back down the bank to help the Mother rescue her Calf, amazing how they cooperate with each other.

WOW  That was a relief - what a strong current in the river, so a very lucky little ele. Great to see them working together.
