Re: Jeremy the Koala
Oh My Goodness, poor little Jeremy. Those burns look really nasty and so sore. It's good to hear that he is fairly stable at the moment. The thing with burns is that although they can look ok for a time they can become infected all of a sudden but I am sure he is being covered with antibiotics to stop that from happening as bacteria love open wounds, especially soft ones like burns. The other fear is that he was dehydrated and even though you think they are then hydrated animals can go into shock sometime later, so it's still very early days for Jeremy but it looks as if its so far so good. I hope they post how he is doing in a few days time. In the meantime lots of love and to Jeremy.
Bush fires are awful aren't they. They destroy homes of humans and wildlife alike, its a terrible thing to happen and hard for everyone to re-establish themselves again.

That really is such a sad shame to see Jeremey in that condition so many animals suffer and die in the bush fires in Australia. Its good to know there are organisations and people to care for those that survive. I'm just glad my friend who is in Oz at the moment visiting his daughter and family are safe in the South East there, they had it bad last year there.
