A lovely and encouraging read about the Swallowtail Butterfly.

Good news - shame we still aren't seeing nearly as many butterflies this year.

Vivid memories of a boating holiday some twenty years ago was taking the kids on a butterfly safari through the reeds near meadow dyke mouth on the upper thurne.Have some old film photo's somewhere, superb wildlfe sight and a must do for all is to see one ,in my opinion. One of Britains true wildlfe stars.

As a child TB I remember catching Butterflys with my net and then letting them go, it was something all kids did and each and everyone of those Butterflys were gorgeous. You couldn't walk the countryside without seeing lots of different varieties, now you are hard pushed to see them although I must admit this summer there does seem to be more around which is lovely, so it's nice to read that Butterfly species are being helped along.
