I saw this duck on a walk today, couldnt identify the species but I'm thinking it may be a cross breed

Sorry PPH I'm not really up on Ducks. I searched Duck identification, and it comes up with a few sites with Pics, but I could'nt spot it

Checked both my bird books PPH and nothing that looks like that duck scratch I think you must be right and it is a cross breed.

Whatever he is, he is a darling I love you sorry that doesn't help you PPH but maybe he is a cross breed, no reason why it shouldn't happen in Ducks as well. Shame Autumn Watch is over otherwise you could have asked them the question. Does Chris packham have a site that you could send him the pic to?
