I saw this helpful online guide that you can download to identify bees.

I was away at a hotel this week with work and managed to 'rescue' a bee from the hotel sash windows

Thanks for that PPH. Bees are beautiful little creatures I think but I must admit to being quite wary of them. That guide is really helpful and I am pleased you managed to save one, I bet he was really grateful to be out in the fresh air again and alive cheers

I think I remember hearing on one of the many wildlife programs I watch that the red tailed bee is one of the rarer ones as its been really affected by the virus thats been killing bees
