Wow Phoebe is amazing, like I said this morning WS, Phoebe is like a machine, what a little Hummingbird she is, such a star. I missed her last two fledging so hopefully I will see these two all the way through.
Thanks for the heads up WS and also the lovely video, it looked as though she was laying the second egg there.

I am loving this galaxy already as you can enlarge the video by touching the screen and the videos are so clear Very Happy

I have just watched the video of the first egg being laid and boy you could sure see that one popping out, it was brilliant and Phoebe is so calm during it all. Really looking forward to seeing these two growing up.

True Doogs the first chick to hatch has been named Shelly, because part of the egg shell was stuck on its head like a 3 cornered hat, the second is Tierra in celebration of Earth Day today

Shelly practicing a couple times using Tierra as an anchor.
At about 3:15 you can hear a crow land nearby. Shelly gets very nervous and finally takes off like a rocket. She was ready to fledge anyway, and is being fed by Phoebe in the trees out back.

That was one fast take off Hummingbird

Phoebe tries giving the hint to Tierra, that its time to move out

Two brilliant clips there WS. Shelley was wingercizing like mad and not only did she use Tierra as a launch pad, poor Tierra got a real battering as well didn't she but boy Shelly took off like a rocket didn't she, there wasnt even any thought about it, she was out of there, no messing about.

At one point it looked as though Phoebe was trying to push Tierra out of the nest, has she had much wingerciszing?

I loved watching those clips, with not being around and then not being able to stop on too long I have really missed these two little Hummers and Phoebe, so that has made me smile this evening WS.
